Chapter 1

(Kai's P.O.V, 1st person)

"Mom?!? MOM!" I screamed downstairs as I looked into the bathroom mirror, there was tattoos on my chest and neck, the side of my face, and then some running up and down my torso, it looked to be one giant dragon tattoo but I sure as fuck would have remembered getting it!!! My mother ran up the stairs yelling "what is it hunny?" She stopped at the door and looked at the intricate dragon tattoo adorning my body "oh dear..." she nibbled on her nail like she did when she was contemplating something or worried "mom?" I said in a slight worried tone "I should have told you years ago.... " I looked at her stupidly, truly not knowing what the hell she was talking about. "Mom? Mom what are you talking about? Tell me what?" She looked at me with concern which only confused me even more "you, my darling son.... are a dragon shifter...." okay... either I was crazy or she just said I was a... a.. what? A dragon shifter? Like... I can turn into a fire breathing dragon of sorts? "What.. the fuck.. are you even talking about? Dragons are not real and if I was one wouldn't I be one right now?" Ugg this was so stupid, there's no such thing as dragons.... right? But.... if there was then... I'm one? But that still doesn't explain this weird tattoo "I'm completely serious Kai... and you having those marks means that your mate is in the human realm...." I was for real going crazy now.. dragons? Human realm? Mate? Marks? What the shit? One day I'm just a normal teenager and the next I'm some mystical creature of lore and I have a mate. This day is just getting better and fucking better.... "okay okay. Even if I believed you, which I don't, then why now? And how? What's gonna happen now?" I stated my questions in the calmest tone I could muster while I felt like screaming and running around like a chicken with its head cut off "well... your mate is now going to come looking for you since there marks have probably also shown up, its been becoming very rare for the dragon race to find there mates, for the simple fact there going extinct" my mother stated simply "wait what? Does that mean I'm going to have to have kids with the chick? Mother I'm gay!" I was so mad, no way am I having a girl mate if all this shit was real, I'd rather have some buff guy mate "well you may have no choice...." when she said that I almost screamed, I left the bathroom and stormed into my room "you can all kiss my ass! There is no way in HELL I'm gonna be with a girl!" I screamed and slammed my door

(Havul's P.O.V, 1st person)

"My marks have shown up...." I spoke to no one and everyone, the moment we had walked through the gate to the human realm my mate marks had shown up, so... my mate was in the human realm. My team and I walked around all day looking for the relic we came to get, going to all the museums we came across and never finding it. Wait... if my mates here then... there family is also dragons and may have the relic "boys, I have a thought.. what if we look for my mate and ask there family?" They all nodded in response and we were off, my mate would smell different to me than to them but they could still find the scent of another dragon. It took us another three hours to fans the home we were looking for, an older female dragon answered the door, her mate coming up behind her and pulling her against him possessively "me and my mate have been expecting you... which one of you is it that is looking for there mate?" Ever single one of my team pointed at me and I growled until the most intoxicating smell of cherries and mint leaves hit me "up those stairs and to the right is where you'll find your mate" the older woman said, I followed her directions and opened the door only to see a young boy around 17 years of age laying on his bed. My mate is male? Well I wasn't expecting that but I wouldn't reject him, he was made for me and I for him. The boy looked up at me and I growled slightly in the back of my throat "Mate." His eyes widened and just kept staring at me, finally he spoke "well... at least your not a girl..." I laughed at his comment and walked over to him "no I am not little one" he blushed and kept looking at me with curious eyes, I picked him up and he squealed slightly "Oi! I didn't say you can pick me up mister brawns for brains!" I chuckled and walked downstairs with him still in my arms "he's feisty Havul" one of my men chuckled and i nodded, another held out the relic "they had it and had been waiting for us to retrieve it when you came to claim your mate" my feisty mate wiggled in my arms, he knew what was happening but wasn't to happy about it "take care of Kai for me will you?" His mother spoke, I nodded and me, my mate, and my team all walked out, they all transformed and flew up to the portal, I let my wings extend and took off after them "hold on" I smiled down at the small form clinging to me while I flew up to the portal and we all vanished through it.

Okay sho hai everyone, I have a few other books and no one seems interested in them so I may just write them for fun but this is my first dragon book. I hope y'all like it
