The nerdy princess

Chapter one

Hey guys this is a first try and if I finish this I will edit the story after. I would also like to say I got most of my inspiration is the princess diaries so enjoy.

Quinn POV

I'm late. I can't believe I'm late. I ran to the lockers at the diner and threw my bag in my locker. I ran to the counter and picked up my apron and pad.

"Sorry I'm late Shawn," I shouted to the owner and cook, Shawn.

"It's alright kiddo," he shouted back.

I smiled at Shawn's nickname for me. I walked out into my area and started taking orders. A few hours into my shift some guys from the neighbouring school came in, and sat in a booth in my area. I plastered a smile on my face and walked over.

"Hi welcome to Shawn's Diner, I'm Quinn, what can I get you today?"

"Can I get a piece of you?" Asked one of the boys, as he reached for my ass.
One of the other boys glared at him.

"You touch that waitress' ass you will banned from my diner young man," Shawn shouted.

The guy quickly moved his hand away and the other guy tried hiding a smirk.
Once they all ordered burgers and milkshakes, I pinned in their order on the rack.

"Hey kiddo how's school?" Shawn asked.

I pushed up my big old glasses and smiled "it's going well, really well, I'm getting all As."

"That's what I like to hear and keep it up," he praised.

I smiled, and tucked strands of my beeline blonde hair behind my ear, as they fell out of my ponytail.

"Orders up kid," Shawn handed my the order for the local pervert Patric.

"Here you go Patric enjoy," I sweetly said.

As I walked away I could feel his perverted eyes follow my ass as I went around my shift. Near the end of my shift I was having a drink, of my strawberry flavoured water, from my bottle when I felt a hand on my ass.

"I know you want some of me beautiful," Patric whispered in my ear.

I froze. I couldn't move. What the hell is happening? How could no one be seeing this? Oh god someone help me.

"Hey baby how's your shift been?" Someone called out.

I turned to the voice, and saw the guy that glared at his friend, walking towards me smiling, his eyes ready to kill Patric.

The guy walked up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me to his chest, removing Patric's hand from my ass.

"Um it was great," I played along.

"Good hey I'm Quinn's boyfriend," the guy introduced himself to Patric.

Patric simply mumbled his name and stomped off out of the diner. I sighed in relief that he was gone and realised that the guy still had his arms around my waist. I grabbed his hands and unwrapped them from me and stepped away from him. I turned to face him.

"Thank you for your help," I thanked politely.

"No problem just take care of yourself beautiful," he said seriously.

I looked into the guys sky blue eyes and was mesmerised by the emotions swirling in his eyes, I could see his dark almost black hair from the top of my glasses.

"Kiddo your foods ready," Shawn called from the kitchen.

I looked towards the kitchen and back to the guy.

"You have the most stunning brown eyes," he complimented "I'm sorry I wasn't meant to say that," he added quickly.

"Um anyway thanks for the help again," I monotoned and walked to the kitchen.

"Hey Quinn your dinners there," Mac, a young man who is saving up for college, pointed to my chicken burger with onion rings and salad.

I ate my food with gusto and thanked Shawn and Mac. I kissed their cheeks and gave them a hug.

"See you guys tomorrow," I yawned.

"Hey hey hey Quinn Shawn told me to give you this," Mac said passing me a bag with containers in it.

"Thanks Mac," I hugged him " thanks Shawn!" I bellowed smiling.

I walked home listening to my music and studying. I walked into the front door and heard the tv, as I took off my headphones. I placed them round my neck and headed to the kitchen.

"Hey honey have you eaten?" My mum asked as she entered the kitchen.

"Yeah. Oh mum Shawn and Mac made this for you and dad," I smiled as mum got out ingredients to start cooking. 

I grabbed the bag and emptied out the containers a double cheeseburger with chips for dad and a lasagna with salad and onion rings for mum.

Mum grabbed some plates and served up the food for her and dad. As she dished the food into plates I grabbed the last container and opened it. There lay a small strawberry cheesecake just big enough for all three of us.

"How sweet of them, mum they gave us the cheesecake that we didn't sell today," I smiled at their generosity.

After we all ate I did the small amount of homework I was given. When I looked at my watch I saw that it was midnight. I tied my hair back, brushed my teeth, changed into my pjs and set my glasses on my bedside table then I fell asleep.
