You wake up because of a loud noise in the kitchen. You sit up in your bed and glance at your digital alarm clock, it was 3:37 in the morning. What the? You think to yourself, you still live with your parents so you think it was them. Maybe your mother was searching for something, or maybe your dog got up to get some water. Shrugging it off, you lie back down and fall back into slumber. Then, you hear the sound continue. Annoyed, you get out of your bed and open your door. You instinctively creep against the wall. Realizing how stupid you probably look, you stop and walk normally. You knew this house like the back of your hand, you've lived here your whole life. You continue to walk by a small room, it was way too small. Even your dog couldn't fit in there. You quickly walked to the kitchen, quickly you wish that you had brought your phone. There, standing about a meter away from you, is a woman. There is just enough light to see minor details about her. Her back is facing you and she's staring at a window. She had long, curly red hair, but it didn't look like it was dyed... or her natural hair color. She was wearing a clown costume but it had crimson liquid smeared on it. Pure horror stopped you from yelling. She apparently didn't hear you, her back still facing you. You sat for so long, your eyes adjusted to the dark. On all of the walls, there was writing. In smudgy handwriting, you could make out one sentence out of many; YOU WILL ALL PAY. You had enough, trying to find a voice you try to yell, "Hey, what are you doing?" but, what came out was a whimper. "Wh-What are you... you doing?" she turns around, revealing her horrid, smeared clown make-up. But more terrifying, your mother's largest kitchen knife in her hand. She chuckled, enjoying your fear. She slowly stalked toward you, causing you to scream at the top of you lungs. Fear rooted your feet to the ground, this is it. You were going to die by a insane clown woman in your kitchen, you noticed tears streaming down your face. Your scream caused your dog to bark, causing your parents to run downstairs. The clown woman turns her head ,and you turn yours as well. You see your father holding a pistol and your mother holding a cell phone. Minutes of standing in silence, you see beautiful red and blue lights against your dark house and the sound of sirens that accompanied them. No one moves; not even the insane clown lady. She stood there, staring at you. There was no hint of emotion, just blank, glazed eyes. The police come in and arrest the woman. The rest searched the house. They walk back downstairs, their next words chilled you to the bone. They said she was in there with a blanket, pillow, and food.  They said that, by the look of it, she had been there for almost a month. The next day they questioned her, and she told them everything. The police came back and said that she wanted to kill you all in your sleep. And that she watched you sleep, standing at the foot of your bed. They found out she was wanted for a murder of a family of 5. You now have paranoia, hallucinations, and insomnia. You stay up, staring at the foot of your bed, waiting to see her emotionless eyes, smeared clown make-up to be there. Even living on your own, you can't get past it.
