"Ya can't catch me, ya bozos!" I laughed while running into an alley way. But why was I running? Its like I almost forgot. Oh right, I stole a few diamonds from Gothams Jewelry store. But c'mon! A thief really can't get a break!
I ran and ran until I couldn't run no more. My burlap sack bouncing around as I jumped over crates and stray cats.
"Come on, Just give it up already (Y/n)! We have you surrounded!" one of the police officers yelled through a megaphone.
"Chill your toupee! If you can't catch me, then just stop runnin'!" I yelled back.
I'm one of the most well known thiefs in all of Gotham. Could you believe I'm only 19? I could steal a wallet before the guy could say "How much is it?"
I gotta admit, it has its advantages and disadvantages. I'd gamble with some thugs and steal their money before I could "lose" and I'm currently on the run from all of them. Everyone on the streets call me "Quickhand" or "Quick" for short. I have a reputation, good and bad, but it still doesn't stop me from doing what I love. To steal.
A helicopter flew above my head and flashed blue and red.
"Look at the pretty colors!" I said. You could say I'm on the loony side of town, and I love it! A little while ago, say I was about 8, I got zapped in the head you see? Playing around with electrical wires ain't that safe when you're just a kid. But my craziness is what makes me so bad. Being bad is what I'm good at.
"Woo! Woo! Woo!" I hooted, imitating the sounds of the police sirens. I turned the corner fast, knocking down some cans and irritating the neighborhood hobos.
"Hey! Watch where ya goin'!" one of the hobos yelled.
I laughed at my action and turned the corner where the open street was.
Cop cars on every corner, cops surrounding every perimeter and escape route I had. I was cornered.
Tough luck.
"Awww I wanted to play some more. Don't wanna run anymore?" I pouted, putting the sack onto the floor.
"Save it (Y/n). Put your hands where I can see them nice and slow and no one needs to get hurt." one of the officers said. He knelt onto one of the cars aiming his gun at me and got up, circling around the remaining officers to get to me.
"You sure about that?" I said with a twisted grin, while slowly putting my hands up.
"Come on. Give me the bag. And put your hands behind your back."
I bent down slowly, picking up the back from the floor and tossing it to him. I put my hands behind my back and began to laugh.
"You're so funny officer fatso. Its like ya really don't know what I'm capable of huh?" I took a gun from behind my belt and aimed it at the officer.
"Ya think I'm crazy don't ya?" I said walking closer.
"Put the gun away (y/n) and no one has to get hurt." he said aiming his gun at me. It was a pure gun show.
"Well Mister, I am crazy, so I don't care much what you think." I pulled the trigger and out popped a little flag that said "Bang!"
"You're dead!" I laughed. A swarm of police men crowded around me, one put handcuffs on my wrists, the other put handcuffs on my ankles and another on my neck, connecting all three.
"Get her out of here! Matter of fact, take her to Batman, he'll know what to do with her."
"Ooh sounds like fun! Yes, take me to the bat!" I said while pointing my finger up.
