Chapter 11

Gina entered the booth and hooked the ribbon up along the back of the bodice. The dress was white and strapless, it was tight at the top and from the waist down it flowed out. I felt like Cinderella! Gina put my hands on my shoulders.

"You look beautiful!" She said.

I really did feel it, I knew this was the dress! I came out to show Marco!

"Amazing! Beautiful! You will be the Belle of the ball!" I blushed.

"I think we'll take the dress Marco!" Gina said, she undid the bow and I went back into the changing room to get back into my clothes. I hung the dress back up and went outside and put the dress on the counter.

In a glass cabinet where sales were made was a range of jewellery and accessories.

"Marco, get me that mask out please?" Marco opened the cabinet and took out a delicate white masked edged in white silk.

"We'll take this as well!" Gina said and Marco wrapped it up and put it in the bag with the dress.

I opened my purse and took out my debit card about to slip it into the machine when Gina got ahead of me.

"I'll pay!" she said, and gave me a side hug.

"Gina, you don't have to!" I hugged her back.

"You and Daniella are like the daughters I never had. I was prepared to buy both dresses but Dani already got all her bits and bobs, so surely I can splash the cash on you?" she smiled at me and I just hugged her tighter.

Marco handed us the bag and we said our goodbyes before leaving the shop and making our way back to the shopping centre.

"It's 2o'clock I was meant to go visit my parents for a late lunch, would you like to join me?"

I would be meeting Jai, Luke and Beau's Nonno and Nonna!?

"I'd love to!" I smiled at her, I was so excited! Then Ginas phone started ringing.

"Hey hun.. mhmm.. okay.. well we're going to nonnas.. yes.. okay.. meet us by the car.. bye!"

I looked at her hoping to find out who she was on the phone to...

"Jai's been hanging around in town, waiting for you!" she winked. "I suggested the three of us go to his grandparents?"

I smiled at her, "That sounds great!"

"But before we go meet him.. do you like my son?"

I coughed, I didn't know what to say.. I'd never completely thought about it! "Erm.."

"Sorry to be forward, I just know he has feelings for you, it's obvious for a mother!"

He likes me? "I think I like your son, Gina." I said it. I think I really do like him, but whether we can be together or not I don't know!?

"I'll be sure to tell him, he's in!" She laughed and my cheeks flushed.

We reached the car park and I saw Jai leaning against the car bonnet.

"Jai! Off the bonnet!" Jai snapped up and I laughed. His cheeks went red as he saw me and he gave me a small wave.

Gina got in the drivers seat and after I put my bag in the boot making sure it was covered, I slipped next to Jai in the back.

"Did you get a nice suit Jai?" Gina looked back in the rearview mirror.

"Yeah, and a mask and tie!"

"Get my son growing up!" I giggled at him and he shot me fake glares which made me laugh even more.

After that the car was silent, not awkwardly, it was a comfortable silence. I was surprised it was just Jai who was going to his Nonnas but he was more of a family boy anyway.
