buying new shoes
whole different you
outfits fly
stayin on that high horse
trying to pass that new math course
cuz it's back to school
so who are you this year
the fool?
the jock
the misfit
the prep
the outcast
the angry kid that backlashes at everything
it's your choice this time around
so study outside
keep your head in the books
and you eyes off them girls
but sure as hell they'll give your heart and emotional whirl
so who you gonna be?
it's as easy 3 plus 3
what you wear
how you act
who you care about
and how devoted you are to school
maybe play it off cool
"I don't care"
but still every night
you stare at those books
looking for answers that aren't there
don't be afraid
of those drab walls
and busy halls
filled with students
who would much rather be at the mall
these back to school blues
will pass
and so will you
keep you head in the books
and your eyes off them girls
