Max gave Lily another tissue as she began sneezing for the nth time within the hour.
"Are you sure you don't need any medicine," Max asked, concern lacing his voice.
Lily nodded and snuggled closer into her blanket, "I don't need any medicine...I only need you."
Max smiled and hugged Lily close to his body.
They stayed like that for a while - their breaths and bodies becoming one. Max looked down at Lily and kissed her on the forehead, Lily looked up and with her eyes twinkling with love said, "Thank you, Max, I feel so much better now." Max kissed Lily on her forehead, her nose then finally her lips before saying, "You're welcome, now get to sleep. I'll make you some soup for when you wake up."
Lily nodded and fell into a deep sleep, her dreams filled with Max.
