"...Alph are you awake?" A young Charlie was out of his own cabin. He walks in carefully and slowly closed the door behind him. He wasn't really that quiet, but nobody else was in the cabin rooming with him. Alph had to stay in here all on his own on these rainy nights. But, being his normal sweet self, he didn't complain.
Charlie enjoyed everything about Alph: his company, his kindness, and so much more that he couldn't even think about it all that once. They've been best friends for years and nothing was going to change that...

...except that Alph was leaving..to move into another city. It was a very, very nice place, and he'll have a nice dwelling to stay at. His mother lived there with his many siblings and his grandfather. At least it'll be a place where Alph will be happy.
Although, this is going to leave Charlie devastated. He loved Alph so much and he didn't want to leave. But there was nothing that he could do about it. He stood there nearby Alph's room with a dismal look on his face. It was hopeless, he will never see Alph again. He will never be happy again. He was heartbroken.

It wasn't fair...

Alph heard the quiet sniffling outside of his room. His ears twitched and he thought he was hearing things. Was he having a..eerie dream? But this felt real.
He clenched the sheet beneath him and opened his eyes slowly. He stares at his fist, a pale glow from the moonlight was on it. The scent of the wood was very addicting, even though it was pretty old.
Alph gets up and looked around the dark room. He leans to a nightstand and turns on a lamp. It, of course, didn't work. But it did make some loud and annoying clicking sounds. Alph cringed a bit and turns his head only to gasp at the heart-wrenching sight he saw. His eyes widened and he froze in place.

"Charlie.." Alph has never seen him this way before. Never of him in complete distress and tears. He was distraught as he saw his best friend sob in front of him. "I'm so...sorry.." He ran into Charlie's arms and hugged him tightly.

"I..It's..n-not your..f-fault." Charlie's voice broke as he shook. He kept sobbing and he held his friend really close. He didn't want Alph to leave him. He just couldn't believe any of it. He shudders again, too sad to even think about Alph leaving him.

"I promise that I will see you again someday. And we can still send messages to one another." Alph began to tear up as well but did his best to hold them back. "It won't be that different. I-It won't be.." He gripped on Charlie tightly and began to cry.

"Please don't be sad..I didn't mean to break down like this. It's..just..you're wrong. Nothing will ever be the same. You. Won't. B-Be. Here.." Charlie looked at Alph. It made his soul drop when he saw that the other was crying. Their tears went down their freckled cheek, and it glistens in the moonlight as well as his eyes.

They wiped away Charlie's tears and nuzzled against him. "Charlie, we're going to be upset. We have to be sad and that's okay. It shows that you care. And I care so much about you too." He pushed both of Charlie's cheeks together and smiles. Alph always did this to cheer himself up, and Charlie of course didn't mind. He earns a smile from the other as well.
He finally pulls his hands away, only for them to be held by Charlie's. Their fingers intertwine with one another and they stare at each other, completely dry of tears.

"Alph, what would happen if we never see each other again?" Charlie asks, looking to Alph nervously. He hoped for an answer for him to be at least a tad less sad.

Alph shrugs and stayed quiet for a little while. He then looked up at Charlie again and sniffles softly. "Will you remember me in the future?"

They nod and their eyes widened, "Of course I will. I'll never forget someone as great as you. But..if I don't ever see you again, then...I..I...won't."

"It won't happen. We'll see each other and it will be great!"

"Y-Yeah..but I'll miss you in the meantime. I just hope for the best for you." Charlie nuzzled Alph's hair and grew a smile on his face. He then feels the other pull away and lead Charlie to the bed beside them. Charlie saw how tired Alph looked and didn't resist the slight pull.

"You can sleep with me tonight." Alph sat on the bed and nuzzled their cheek. He undos the blanket and the sheets, getting under them. He pats the spot next to them and he sees Charlie more than excited to be close by his side. Alph giggles and hugged Charlie again, burying his face in his chest.

Charlie shuts his eyes and wraps his arms around the other again. He smiles and pets Alph's soft, teal hair. Then Alph lifts his head again, meeting his eyes with Charlie's.
He stares back with his rosy cheeks before looking away.

Alph's attention went to the moon outside of the window. It was a clear night, no clouds were in sight. The stars were there of course, accompanying the moon. He was tracing the stars with one another, trying to find some constellations.
"Do you remember any of the constellations?" He yawned, then looks at Charlie with tired eyes. Alph then tilts his head and raised an eyebrow.

Charlie flinched at Alph speaking suddenly, and he barely heard the question. He looked out the window, "U-Uh..umm..may..be." He blushed deeply and starts stammering a bit. Charlie stopped when he heard Alph giggling. This made him blush more and he pulls away, attempting not to smile.

Alph smiles even more and continued to laugh. It was such a sweet laugh, followed by a snort. His laugh was so contagious and adorable.
"It's okay, I'm just messing with you." He kept staring out the window and nuzzling into Charlie's chest. Alph sighs and glanced back at the other. "I'm going to miss you so much."

Charlie was the one to stare at the window now. The sight was strangely up lifting. It was very beautiful. He wish this moment would never end. That Alph would be here in his arms forever, never to leave.
But that definitely wasn't going to happen. His eyes drooped a bit, nearly closing. Charlie didn't want to sleep. He pets Alph softly and nearly fell back on the bed again.
Eventually, Alph pulls away to let Charlie lay down. Then he lays with him, in his arms and the happiest that he's ever been.
Charlie's eyes were eventually shut and he hugs Alph securely. He smiles softly and rubbed Alph's back. Then he opened his mouth to form words. They were quiet but soothing to them.

"I'll miss you too."
