So, when at camp, we volunteered at a nursing home, and when we got there, I was wearing black lipstick.
Quick backstory on the black lipstick. Our friend Hannah wears black lipstick, and the day before, someone said it made her more ugly then she already was. So, the next day (the day we went to the nursing home), everyone in our friend group wore black lipstick to stand up for our friend. Even me and Dark.
So, ANYWAY, I'm pale, as all of you already know. And I do dye my hair often. And it just so happened to be a very dark purple thanks to the recent dye. And I was wearing a hoodie (EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A CAPTAIN AMERICA HOODIE)
So, anyway, one of the workers their kept glancing over at me and muttering goth and emo under her breath. And I finally spoke up and politely told her I wasn't. Then she just said I was and she knows her stuff because her daughter is "really into that stuff".
So I told her that she was stereotyping a tad to much and she kept insisting that I was a goth and an emo. Luckily Mya found me before I got into a fight with someone ^^
