Angel is a simple 17 year old bookworm who spends her freetime in a library. She is a petite girl with dark wavy hair and thick rimmed glasses to hide behind. Her eyes if you ever get a chance to see them are a beautiful honey brown color and her skin is a fair tone. At school she is the definition of outcast and is bullied by practically everyone. She was just an easy target, she never talked and when she did it was to quiet for anyone to hear. Through the years of her harassment she learned to build walls and not to let anyone get to know the real her.

Until one day...

Angel was walking home from the public library holding two books in her hands. As she passed by an alley way she heard a gun shot and screamed. Hearing someone run off she looked down the alley way and noticed a figure sitting on the ground clutching their shoulder as another figure retreated in the opposite direction from her.

Angel was always the type to help those in need so she approached the sitting figure slowly. "Are you alright?" Angel asked looking down at the figure. It was a man who she could tell was very handsome with short raven black hair styled into a quiff and a nice tan with tattoos peaking out from the collar of his shirt. The man looked up at her with piercing emerald colored eyes.

"..." The man silently stared her.

"Are you hurt?" She questioned kneeling down next to him.

"...Yeah I got shot in the shoulder, the bullet went straight through." He said plainly.

"Oh no! I have to call 911!" Angel told him and pulled out her phone.

"No!" The man said sternly and she saw something in his eyes that made her not wish to see what would happen if she did call the cops.

She reluctantly pulled off her back pack and unzipped it to get her first aid kit the man spoke up. "What are you doing?" He asked her curiously. Angel pulled out her first aid kit and turned to him "Well I can at least try and help as best as I can with this" she replied and opened her kit. "My names Damien Rogers" he told her and Angels blood went cold.
Damien Rogers was the leader of the most feared gang in Silverwood City actually the whole country The Silencers. They kill anyone and everyone who gets on their bad side even if they are women or children at least that's what Angel overheard someone say. Angel turned away and pulled out some disinfectant spray.
"...I...I-" She tried to speak but was cut off by Damien. "Don't freak out on me now I'm kinda bleeding out here" He chuckled a bit.

"Oh..um..yes l..let me help you" Angel said and helped remove his shirt without him getting hurt. She stared at his abs and chest that is covered in tattoos but snapped herself out of the trance when he gave another short chuckle. She easily cleaned up his wound and bandaged it for him. "Thanks for your help sweetheart" Damien said standing up and then helped Angel gather her things.

"N..no problem...I hope you heal well" Angel stated and started to flee hurriedly. "I promise I won't hurt you." Damien said grabbing Angels arm "So how about you tell me your name." He suggested. "Angel"  she whispered nervously. "What a suitable name for you" Damien told her and smiled. Angel turned away and blushing lightly. She tried to walk away but noticed he was following her but she was too scared to say anything about it. As they walked on a black SUV drove by shooting in their direction Damien pulled Angel close behind his back covering her from getting hurt while also pulling out his gun to shoot back. Luckily the people in the SUV were poor shots or maybe they were just trying to scare them but neither Damien nor Angel were hurt. So when the truck sped off Damien put his gun away and turned to Angel. "Are you OK Angel?" Damien asked checking her over once and then sighed in relief when he saw she was unharmed. Angel was terrified and shaking badly.

"It's ok Angel I won't let them hurt you" Damien said to Angel softly. Angel blushed and looked up at him. Damien swore to himself right then and there that he would protect her with his life. His enemies have already seen Angel with him and are probably getting ideas on hurting her to get to him. 'Damn it! I should have just scared her off and called for back up!' He thought getting angry that he was too weak in front of her. He shook his head mentally and looked at her.

"I... I can manage to get home fine by myself here" Angel said shakily and walked off. Damien followed her along the way and ended up walking with her. "No. I will make sure you get home safely it's the least I can do for you helping me out." Why are you doing this for me?" Angel questioned him. "What do you mean?" Damien asked confused. "You are the leader of the most powerful gang in the state, you are dangerous and I should stay away from you." Angel replied. Damien smirked and made her face him. "I already swore I won't hurt you. You are actually more in danger if I just leave you alone now." Damien stated.

"What?!" Angel yelled. "My enemies have seen you with me and by now think I have a soft spot for you since I haven't killed you yet." He said plainly. Angel looked at him fully terrified now. He sighed and pat her head in an almost soothing way. "Let's get you home." He said and walked on with her in tow.

The next day at school Angel was walking down the empty school hallway that leads to the library when someone grabbed her arm and pushed her back into the lockers. "Where do you think your going freak?" A boy said while laughing with his friends at Angels pained face. Angel kept her mouth shut and looked down. "He asked you a question!" Another boy yelled and slammed his fist into the lockers next to her head. "L...library..." Angel whispered.

"Angel?" Someone called her name from down the hall. Angel and the bullies turned their heads to where the voice came from. A few boys were standing a few lockers down. "Who the hell are you?" The boy who slammed his fist asked. "The Silencers" One boy answered glaring at the boy who held Angel against the lockers. The group of bullies froze "Now can someone fucking explain to me what you all are doing to our leaders girl?" The boy questioned them. "..we were just..." The boys started but just decided to run off. "After them and make sure you leave big mouth and handsy for Damien." The boy told his buddies and they all took off.

The boy walked over to Angel and helped pick up her books. "Are you ok?" He asked Angel full of concern. "I'm fine you don't have to worry about me I grew up with that kind of treatment..." Angel told him and looked at the ground. The boy looked at her shock then sighed. "Angel I need you to know that now that you've helped Damien the whole gang is in debt to you." "Why?" Angel questioned. "Cuz you saved him last night" The boy answered "I am his brother Johnny by the way." Johnny smiled at Angel.

"He even started being a little and I do mean only a little bit nicer. He came in and only cussed out the gangs doctor for touching the bandages you put on him." Johnny told her. "Why does he care I am just someone who helped him with a flesh wound nothing special." Angel said quietly. "It's because you showed your kindness and didn't run away in fear like anyone else would. You are very sweet and he thinks you are the most beautiful person in the world." Johnny said truthfully. Angel blushed "Really?" She asked shyly. "Yes" Johnny nodded and grinned. Just then one of the gang members ran in and whispered something in Johnny ear. "Shit!" Johnny cursed then pulled out his phone and typing something. He then placed his phone back in his pocket and guided Angel down the hall to the library and into the farthest corner. "Angel whatever you hear do not move from this spot until Damien comes and gets you." Johnny ordered her then left with the gang member. 'Whats going on?' Angel thought.
