Disasterology

Untitled Part 1

I actually wrote this for my English project but i wanted to put it on here cause i thought it was pretty good.

Tony sat in the dining room alone waiting for his girlfriend, Erin, to get home from her shift at the homeless shelter. They have been dating since the 10th grade (6 years) and Tony plans to propose tonight when they go out for dinner. A noise at the door interrupted his thoughts. It opened and there stood Erin with a man beside her, a sad look on his face. She crossed through the house, to the kitchen, to make dinner as the guy trailed slowly behind her.

"Tony, this is Mike, he lives in the homeless shelter. I want him to live with us. I know this is very short notice, but the shelter was treating him horribly and he needed to get out of there." Erin said from the kitchen. That made him a little upset considering their plans for tonight just got canceled, but he doesn't mind that much since Erin is happy. "Alright that's cool with me. I am going to show him up to the guest room and get him settled." Tony said as Mike followed upstairs, to the room at the end of the hall.

Six weeks later, Mike is still living there and he's comfortable enough to stay home alone, so Erin and Tony go out to eat that night. He plans to propose again, and this time there is nothing that will get in his way. As he waited for her to finish getting ready, he goes out to the car, starts it up and turns on the heater because it was a little cold.

Tony pulled up to a four way stop. He waited for his turn to go, and as he was heading straight, a car from the left sped through and hit their car. It spun out of control and then flipped over, finally landing upright. Once the car had stopped, Tony got out of his seat, worried about Erin, who wasn't sitting next to him anymore. He looked around the crash and found her lying in a ditch, unconscious, and called 911. And shortly, they arrived at the scene. Tony, was covered in blood and limping pretty badly, but didn't care. He ran over, as best as he could, to the ambulance Erin was in and climbed inside with her. Once they arrived at the hospital, the nurses take her back and tell Tony he has to stay and go in his own room to be seen by a doctor. When he was cleared to go, he rushed over to Erin's room. "Nurse is she okay?" he said frantically. "She has suffered from some major head trauma, but should be awake soon." The nurse said with a calm look on her face. He entered the room just in time to see her eyes flutter open slowly. She had just woken up. "Oh my god Erin, are you okay?" He said. "Who's Erin and who are you?"
