Hagrid slumped at the table a tankard of beer to his right, his head rested on the table unable to control his sobs. He's dead. How can Albus Dumbledore the great Almighty be dead? The amazing ... The powerful ... The one that stole my heart. At this he broke down once again into heaving sobs so loud that they shook the whole hut. All of a sudden there was an urgent rap at the door. "Who is it?" he asked between sobs.

" Its the pizza delivery guy." The stranger said sarcastically " who do you think it is ... It's me." All of a sudden it dawned on Hagrid who was at the door ... How could he forget that calming voice.

"Albus ... Is that you?" He called, hardly able to control his excitement.

"Yes" he replied

"How can I be sure" he said more to himself than to Albus, his voice barely audible.

"Albus" his voice raised, " I need to make sure it's you, not someone else." Although he did not say who it was clear by the tone of his voice just who Hagrid was worried was at the door. He got up from his chair and walked to the door and then spoke through the key hole, "What did I say to you that night we found ourselves alone together in the forbidden forest 10 years ago. What did I say to you Albus, my love"

"That you would do whatever you could to keep me safe and would never give up on me even though we couldn't be together"

Hagrid took a deep breath as he grasped the door handle and wrenched the door open. Standing before him completely unscathed was Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. Hagrid pulled him into a bone crushing hug, unable to hold back his tears of relief any longer, before planting Dumbledore's feet firmly on the ground inside his hut.

He then began to search every part of his body with his eyes looking for any wounds or broken bones. Once he was satisfied that Dumbledore was fine, he began to question him.

"But how?" He asked, "you were just dead I saw it, we all saw it, there was no way you could have survived no way... I don't understand?"

"Now Hagrid we must not get ahead of ourselves, please if you were to sit down, I would tell you everything." He said in his calming tone, gesturing to the seat Hagrid had previously occupied.

Hagrid obliged, a mingle look of shock and amazement still plastered over his face. Dumbledore turned away from him thinking how he should start. He turned to face Hagrid and everything that had happened, all the confessions, all the horror came tumbling out ...
