Skystar part one

I stared out of the cockpit window at the expanse of space stretching out in front of me seeming to go on forever oh man I was so bored the expanse of space was making me even more bored who knew being the polite of a state of the line spaceship and being a jack of all trades around the universe could be boring plus right now was rush hour so I couldn't fly around for no reason "you sound bored Sicily." My computer said "I am Darsh I am." I said "this is the first time we've been so slow no job requests at all you could visit home." Darsh said "not right at this moment Seth is visiting home I never go home when he's visiting it's not a good idea." I said "ah yes Seth I have never met a more obnoxious man." Darsh said I nodded that was Seth my brother I couldn't stand him as much as I loved him so I avoided him like the plague he was so much easier to deal with over the phone than face to face "I do need a tune up Sicily." Darsh "is it that time of the month already?" I asked "it is." Darsh replied "well all right that's something to do I suppose I'll call Marza and see if he can fit you in today." I said "of course he will I'm his favorite piece of machinery." Darsh said very proud of himself and he should be he was the top of the line "yeah you are." I said with a laugh pressing Marza's button on my phone he showed up on my screen giving me a smile "that time of the month?" he asked "you don't think I'm calling because something happened to SkyStar?" I asked "you never do though I would like to fix up SkyStar but I only see you when Darsh reminds you to come in for a tune up and with all the jobs you do I would expect more wear and tear but then again your uncle did build the thing it would make sense that I barely see the wear and tear that I do on normal ships." He said with a sigh I laughed "can you fit me in today?" I asked "of course I'll look at him whenever you get here." He replied "what about your other customers?" I asked "what about them they know me well enough to know I put off some jobs whenever my favorites come in and you supersede them all." He said "wow I feel special." I said "more SkyStar should feel special I prefer machines to people." He said "I am well aware of that all right see you soon." I said "sounds good." He replied before we both hung up "well looks like we have something to do today after all or just you what am I supposed to do while you're getting your tune up?" I asked "wander around do an odd job." Darsh replied "sounds like you don't really care Darsh." I said "I don't really just don't get in trouble that's my request." He said "I think I can manage that." I said "that's what you say every time." He said "what can I say It's easy to get into trouble on land." I said "and that's why we stay in space." Darsh said "precisely." I said starting up the engine and setting off it would take a few hours to get to Marza's I was farther out right now I could hit light speed but it was punishable during rush hour something about light speed causing too many accidents and rush hour lasted five hours so I would just have to obey the space speed limit the fact that the police and government had put a speed limit all the way out here made me mad was there no free places left anywhere even space had rules now ridiculous

A few hours later I landed SkyStar in dock at Marza's place he met me with a smile "there she is the pilot of SkyStar." Marza said I cocked my head weird way to greet me but okay "hey Marza." I began only to be stopped by seeing the queen of Marza's planet come out of his hanger huh what did I do this time "so you are the pilot of SkyStar I will admit I was admitting something more you are awfully young to be flying something so advanced." She said with a queenly air "I may be young but I have more training than most and a ton of experience with machines like SkyStar." I said used to people thinking that "I see." The queen said staring at me Marza nudged me "you need to curtsy." He whispered "I need to what.... This is why I'm not a fan of living on land curtsying to rulers sheesh." I whispered back Marza glared at me I shrugged but curtsied anyway the queen gave me a satisfied smile I had to refrain from rolling my eyes "a pleasure to meet you your highness." Darsh said dam he must have been watching with his cameras I didn't need the queen to know how smart my computer system was then she would want it and I would have to run and find a new mechanic and I really liked Marza I've already lost five mechanics to date because someone in their community with a lot of money or prestige decided they wanted Darsh and I was never willing for whatever amount of money to give him away "how polite did you teach him that dear?" the queen asked me whew she wasn't a smart one thank goodness "yes I did I do like it when even my spaceship can greet important people." I replied lying through my teeth I knew Darsh wouldn't be happy but I hoped he understood why I said It even though I would still probably be punished later for saying that the queen smiled "my son has been wanting to meet the pilot of SkyStar for the longest time I am afraid he is quite obsessed with you and your spaceship." She said with a dismissive sniff "I am saying I am here to take you to meet him so I can be seen as a good mother for introducing my son to his hero." She said motioning her guards towards me "I suppose I get no say in this?" I asked "not if you want Marza to keep being your mechanic." She said showing the power she had over her kingdom I looked at Marza he looked at me with pleading eyes I sighed and acquiesced letting the guards "escort" me toward their limo I could practically hear Darsh telling me to be nice I let out a small smile the guards opened the door and let me inside I slid into the limo and looked at the queen across from me she looked me over and gave me a frown "if you think you're going to put me in a dress you are sorely mistaken." I said "you are very brave to speak to me like this have you no fear." She said "of course I fear but I am not your citizen you cannot put me in jail if I don't act accordingly only if I do something illegal which I don't plan to." I said

We walked up the palace stairs I stared up in awe this place was beautiful an older way of architect was used to make this palace it didn't look like a lot of the other palaces I saw and there was a lot of guards wow talk about lock down way too many guards to protect one royal family the queen left our side to do things and I was escorted to see the prince my fan apparently I didn't even know I had fans I was walking beside the guard when a man came running down the hall he was dressed in how could I describe it princely garb I suppose he wasn't paying attention to where he was going and I tried to get out of his way only to be plowed down by him we both hit the ground I heard the guard sigh "prince Julius you need to watch where you're going you knocked down our guest." The guard said hauling the prince apparently off of me I sat up and rubbed my head I looked up at the prince he was looking at me with a look of sincere confusion "what is it?" I asked pushing myself up and the floor and dusting myself off "it's just I've never seen a woman visiting not wearing a dress before this is very peculiar." He said "I'm not a dress wearer I see no reason to change my clothing just because I'm going somewhere "special"." I said making quotes with my fingers to be as disrespectful as possible but instead of getting angry he chuckled "nor do I." he said confusing me was this man, not a prince shouldn't he feel the most comfortable around haughtily dressed people "I see that look on your face I'm not the princely type I'd much rather be studying or exploring this grand universe than doing my princely duties the only reason I'm wearing this garb is because it pleases my mother and I know better than to get on her bad side." He said "uh I apologize I guess I was unfairly profiling all princes not on purpose though I rarely try to meet royalty." I said "that is a smarter way to live life......by the way what brings you to our castle today
