"How could you?!" Mary Downton screeched, walking up to Hermione as students entered the Great Hall, ready for their next year at Hogwarts. Hermione turned around.

"What?" Hermione said, confused.

"You left a frickin' cliffhanger! Does June go to the new school or not?!" Mary glared at her. Hermione laughed as the entire Hall looks at her.

"I can't tell you that. If I did, what point would their be for the next book?" She smiled as Mary's eyes narrowed.

"What's going on, Mione?" Ron walks up to her. Harry walked up to them.

"You didn't hear? Hermione published a very succesful book," Harry said, not trying to draw much attention to it. He didn't want to have to explain to Hermione why he didn't read it.

"No, I didn't know! Hermione, do you have a copy that I can read?" Ron said. Hermione blushed and smiled. Harry look horrified.

"Of course!" She said, digging through her bag. Harry tried to back away slowly without anyone noticing. Unfortunately, Hermione did. "Harry, have you read it?" Hary's eyes widened in fear, now trying to think of an excuse.

"Umm....." Harry thought quickly. Hermione raised an eyebrow. "My uncle wouldn't let me buy it." Harry lied thorugh his teeth. Hermione smiled, giving Ron a copy and pulled out another.

"Oh! Here, you can have this copy," Hermione smiled, and then walked off to the Gryffindor table. Harry looked at Ron, horrified, and even more shocked to see Ron flipping to the beginning of the book.

"Have you heard that Granger's written a book? My sister was going on and on about it all summer," Pansy sighed, remembering the constant nagging. Blaise looked up.

"Yeah, my mom bought a copy of it. She says it's really good. I just hope she doesn't find out I know the author. She'd make me get her copy signed," Blaise said as he picked up a turkey leg. Draco raised an eyebrow.

"Your mom bought something written by someone other than a pureblood? My mom would never do that," Draco said, unaware that Hermione had written a book. Pansy gasped, looking at the Gryffindor table.

"DDG is talking to Granger! Gurr! She better back off!" Pansy growled. Draco and Blaise rolled their eyes. Pansy has had a crush on Neville ever since the end of first year. "DDG" (aka Drop Dead Gorgeous) was her code name for him.

"I still don't understand why you like him," Blaise muttered. Pansy smiled.

"Well, for starters, he's incredibly brave. He's amazing at Herbology, which most people hate. And he's a pureblood! Double plus!" She said as she stared at him. Mary, the Ravenclaw who caused a scene earlier, walked over to their table and sat right by Pansy, in front of Draco and Blaise. "Umm..?" Pansy looked at her. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to make you an offer," Mary said. The trio looked at her, confused. Mary rolled her eyes. "Ms. Granger has a computer that she carries around, and I want you to steal it." Blaise flipped.

"We're not thieves! If you want that muggle thing get it yourself!" Blaise almost yelled. Mary glared at him.

"Quiet down! You don't want someone to hear you, do you?" Mary scolded. Blaise glared at her. "I'll get you anything you want, if you'll just get me that computer!" Draco raised an eyebrow.

"I can buy anything I want, and I'd buy whatever my friends wanted as well. Do you really think we would stoop that low?" Draco almost laughed.

"I couldn't buy whatever I wanted, but Blaise is right. We're not thieves," Pansy glared at Mary. Mary sighed.

"Well, then, Pansy," Mary spat out Pansy's name. "I'll tell everyone you have a crush on Neville." Pansy gasped. "And that you used to cut." Pansy's eyes widened.

"Blackmail? Honestly, Mary, you can do better than that." Draco laughed. Mary smirked.

"I could tell everyone about your petty crush on Granger." Draco's eyes widened. He's only told Blaise and Pansy about that. "Or how about your true parentage?" Mary smirked. Narcissa Malfoy was raped by Lucius's brother, causing her to be pregnant. Blaise stood up, ready to punch Mary. Pansy just gasped.

"Oh, Blaise, sit down. You wouldn't want to hit a girl in the middle of this room, would you? I could tell everyone of your father's infidelity," Mary smirked. Blaise sat down.

"Fine," Pansy stuttered. "We'll do it." If people found out about Pansy's crush, it wouldn't ruin her forever. If people found out about Blaise or Draco's parents, they would be cursed to live as outcasts their entire lives. Mary smirked.

"Alright then. I expect that laptop by Christmas break," She smiled, and got up to go back to her table. Draco put his head in his hands.
