Chapter 9

“Come on, better get out the cold!" He grabbed my hand and we hurried inside to a pretty empty shop.

A few people were having drinks.. but other than that it was really quiet!

“You go grab a seat, I'll order us two hot chocolates.. want whipped cream and marshmallows?" For a muscly boy he was so cute!

“Tee, no need to speak your thoughts!" He winked at me and my cheeks started to burn..

“Sorry! I'd love whipped cream and marshmallows!" Jai went off and I settled down in a booth in the back corner.

The coffee shop was really sweet, it was lit dimly and fairy lights were scattered all around.. it looked so lovely and special and I loved the fact that Jai brought me here!

I could see him chatting to an elderly lady, they both turned my way and smiled, I waved to them and the lady something I couldn't hear but Jai blushed!

He came over a few minutes later with two steaming mugs and put them on the table.

“Thankyou for taking me here Jai, it's beautiful!"

“Maybe we should have late night hot chocolates here more often?"

I giggled and he smiled at me in approval, I remembered our conversation before..

“So.. what things happened with Ariana? I mean you don't have to tell me.. but I'm always here for you.. I understand you have a right to your privacy and.."

“Tee!" he reached over and put his hands over mine suddenly stopping me “Its fine, I trust you.." I let him carry on..

“Ariana seemed like the perfect girl, my celeb crush.. and we got talking and I guess things clicked and we started going out.. things were so perfect between us but distance was a problem and I lost my friendships with the guys cause I'd always be talking to her... things started happening between her and me and then a big thing happened and we split.."

I didn't want to ask, but I guess he could tell I wanted to know..

“She cheated."

My heart sunk, I felt so sorry for him! It seemed like he really loved her! I turned his hands over in mine and held them tight giving him a small smile, which he returned.. I guessed I should tell him about Josh too..

“I got cheated on too.. not by a celebrity, but a boy I grew up with a childhood sweetheart, cheated on me with the college slut!"

His grasp on my hands grew tighter.. “You don't deserve that Tee!"

“Hey silly, if he didn't cheat on me I would've never come here and you'd have never met me!" I winked at him and he chuckled.

“You are an oddbod Tia!"

“Says the guy who takes late night strolls to the cafe!"

“Hey, you're enjoying it right?"

“I'm loving it.. thankyou!"

I looked up from our hands and deep into his eyes.. I could get lost in them.. well maybe I already am.. he was so handsome.. Tiaa snap out of ittt! But I can't!

Wow, she was beautiful!

We'd been holding hands for ages but it wasn't awkward at all.. I'd told her about Ariana and she just listened.. she was like the real life version of AverageGirl.. She was so calm, but nervous at the same time... so cute and beautiful too!
