"C'mon Hazel let's leave this dump" My friend Jaclyn said
"Yass girl I'm so happy its summer" "Right like we are finally free from this hell hole!" my other friend Karisma said. We all giggled and walked to my truck to start heading to my house.
"Hey I just got a text from Nate asking if we wanted to go the carnival with him and Alex" Karisma said
"ooh that sounds like fun do u want to go hazel?" Jaclyn asked me as we are approaching my blue Chevy truck.
"Umm I guess but let me text Sydney and see if she wants to tag along" I heard them both say okay. I texted her and she said that she would be coming with us and meeting us at my house to get ready.
"So do u think maybe we will meet some cute guys there?" Jaclyn asked I giggled sarcasticly and said
"I'm not sure and I don't really care tbh"
"c'mon hazel you have to put yourself out there again"karisma said
"you know why I don't want to be in a relationship rn" I then turned on the radio and jammed to some Melanie Martinez(love her music) so I wouldn't have to talk ab that anymore. I dot want to remember that horrible time.

~at Hazel's house~
"Okay Sydney just texted saying she will be here in a few so let's just start getting ready" I said to them as we were walking into my room. I went straight to my closet to pick out some cloths for myself then for my friends. I chose riped light wash jeans Adidas white crop top and Adidas trainers. Something casual but cute. I put them and then looked in my mirror. I liked what I saw and turned to go to my makeup vanity and start my makeup I did touch ups on my winged eyeliner and put nude lipstick on. I already had makeup on from early this morning when I got ready for school. I turned to see both jaclyn and karisma rummaging threw my closet. I walked over and asked if they need help then said yes so I started to help look for jaclyns outfit. I picked out a tee shirt dress in the color light gray with white low cut chuck Taylors the dress came up just above mid thigh. For karisma I picked black leggings and white crop tank top and cammo thin jacket and black Adidas trainers. They both loved their outfits And thanked me. I then heard Sydney open the front do and scream
"I'm here bitches" and laughed as she walked in my room all ready wearing dark blue high waisted shorts with a baby pink tee shirt crop top and some white and pink Adidas trainers also. So now we r just going to meet the guys at the carnival I guess.

We all hoped in my truck and I plugged in my aux cord and Sydney got in the front seat with me. She has that authority bc she's like my sister we have been friends since we were 4. She always been there for me through the good and bad times. The song play date came on and we all started to sing the lyrics
"I DONT GIVE A F*** ABOUT YOU ANYWAYS WHO EVER SAID I GAVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU!" After that we all made small chit chat about normal girls stuff and we arrived at the carnival By the beach. Its was around 6:30pm when we got there so we still had ab 2 hours of daylight till the sun starts to set. As we stepped out the nice cool beach breaze blew threw my long blonde hair. I was taking in the amazing view of the huge Farris wheel when I heard Nate yell
"hey guys" I turned my attention to him and saw Alex next to him with a huge smile on his face aww he has such a cute goofy smile. Nate and Alex are my 2 best guy friends. We have all been friend sense middle school and have always been besties ever sense then.
"Hey you guys want to head in now?" Alex asked we all agreed and started to walk in.
"Hey guys I'm hungry and this smell of food is killing me" sydney said in a whining little kid tone we all laughed and agreed that we were just as hungry.

*after eating burgers and having milk shakes*

"Ugh I'm so full" I said rubbing my now full stomach.
"Same"
"me too" was what I heard from the group. After waiting ab 15 minutes to let our stomachs sit we decided to ride some of the rides and play some of the games they had. It was now ab 8:32pm and they sunset was starting to show its beautiful colors. I look up and admire the beautiful sky.
"Hey guys let's go ride the ferris wheel" Sydney said

"ooh yea let's go" I cheered
"race ya" nate screamed we all took off and were laughing like little kids. Alex and Nate beat us cause they cheated and had a head start. Now we were waiting in line to get on the ride. Jaclyn said she wasn't feeling to well so she sat out on one of the benches I offered to sit with her but she said no go ride and have fun so here I am waiting in line. I was standing behind my friends when people started to get seated. Its was Nate and karisma then Alex and Sydney. Well now I have go ride with a stranger in order to ride on it yay! (Note the sarcasim) as I sat down and looks at my phone I felt somone sit next to me. I looked over and it was like seeing an angel. He was so good looking omg! He had dark brown hair and a blue streak in it with brown greenish eyes and plump lips. His jawline looked like it was carved by god himslef. I was snapped out of my gaze when he spoke with such a deep voice
"hi I'm Ethan what's your name?"
"I'm hazel"
"so what's a pretty girl like you doing sitting by yourself?" Ethan asked lord plz don't let him be a fboy.
"Well I'm not alone I'm with my friends we just have an odd number" the ride stared to move slowly now.

"But why are u alone" I asked curious as to why a good looking guy like him was here with me and not his girlfriend if he has one. God he is so cute... No stop hazel no guys remever what happened last time a really cute guy came into you life I thought. "Well I'm here with my brother and his girlfriend"
"oh that sucks so your third wheeling huh?"
"Yea but its not that bad she's a friend of mine so its not awkward or anything"
"oh that's good" now we were near the top and I was taking in the view of the ocean and the beautiful sunset when it came to a sudden stop

"attention passengers please stay calm and stay in your seats we r having some technical difficulties at the moment" the worker said
"well now I have more time to talk to you, so how old are.... Are you okay?" He asked when he saw how hard I was breathing. Oh yea I forgot to mention I get really bad anxiety and the thought of being stuck up here forever freaked me out.
"Oh uhh um *deep breath* yea i-im ok"
"hey its ok I've got you I won't let anything happen to you" he spoke softy and wrapped his arm around me. I relaxed a Lil. I got comfortable and looked over to see him already staring at me in the most loving way possible. Which is crazy seeing how I just met him 20 minutes ago.
"So I haven't seen u around do u go to sliders high?" He asked
"yea actually do you?" I mentally slapped myslef because obviously other wise he wouldn't have asked "yea are you a senior?"
"No I'm a junior"
"oh that's probably why bc we don't have any classes together"
"so how old r u?" I asked
"I'm about to be 18 you?"
"Im ab to be 17" we basically just asked simple questions like that when he scooted over closer to me.

I started to get a Lil scared when he said
"you aren't like most girls do you know that hazel?" I just stayed quiet "you are definitely the most beautiful I've seen" I smiled and looked down and said thank you in almost a whisper. I looked up to see he was really close to my face and 3 inches away and was leaning in closer. I found myself leaning in too when all the sudden the ride made a loud popping noise and shook harshly...
