"Hello darling" the silky smooth voice called softly to the graying man on her balcony. "My love" the man's raspy voice called back as he turned around to face her having just climbed up the fire escape. The woman was a vision of youth, she had long brown hair that went all the way down her back, a a peach pink dress that trailed behind her, as well as bright blue eyes, and she had a heavenly glow about her. But the man didn't notice the glow for that was how he always saw her. "My how old you've become" she whispered as she gently held his wrinkley face in her hands. "Heh but you haven't changed a drop" he replied his horse voice dropping to her level. Silence filled the air after that, all that could be heard was the stillness of the air. They both stood...staring into each others eyes. "My sweet oh how long have it been?" The woman asked her voice dripping with the sugar of love. "Too long I'm afraid" the wise man chuckled before kissing her forehead gently. "I wish for you to come with me" she breathed closing her eyes as his rough lips planted the gentle kiss to her forehead. "Just say the word and I'll follow you anywhere you wish to go" he whispered taking a step away from her. The woman broke down crying, she fell to her knees "but you can't" she sobbed as cold drops of water cascaded off her cheeks. "You can't because it isn't your time" she added as her sobs became worse. The man kneeled down next to her and lifted her head "be patient my love it won't be long now I can feel it." The woman looked at him for she knew how truly long it was, he was to live for at least ten more years, in her time that felt like an eternity. She nodded anyway looking into his eyes. Once again there was the still silence, but this time it was almost eerie, for they both knew what this eerie silence meant. "My love...." the woman trailed off tears reappearing in her eyes "shhhhh my darling we'll meet again" he whispered wiping her tears before they could fall. "I love you he added as the woman started to slowly disintegrate in his arms. "I love you more" she smiled at him before her body completely faded and as it did it turned into flower petals, lilies, that floated into the wind gracefully. The old man gently reached out and grabbed one, twirling it in his coarse fingers before letting it fly off with the others "see you soon my love."
