Plot: A world where everyone is so broken that they must buy their emotions. They don't have emotions without the objects that they have to wear/carry in order to have emotions:
Silence. The only thing you could hear for miles.
Silence. The only noise left in our broken world.
The silence started when I was young. Around 10 years old. That was six years ago. Six years of abnormal silence. But what do I care? The government took away something that had caused each generation a problem: emotions.
When people would get angry they'd do abusive things or hide it until they bursted. When they were sad they'd cry pointlessly or just get angry. Happiness led to stupidity. Fear led to anger or sadness. Sometimes it led to death because of heart attacks. No matter what you felt, there were always risks.
It's always been a mystery. How they rid people of emotions. All we know is that they can. Hospitals were dead silent, even during child birth. Even the children were emotionless.
At least, that's what life was like before the emotion stickers. The government had found a way to safely control emotions. I was fifteen when they introduced the stickers. The people had mindlessly stood in line to receive their stickers.
As this began to evolve, companies began to form and their first priority was the stickers. They also had strengths. People soon began to illegally buy new emotions. Different strengths, new emotions.
Now, there were questions being thrown at the government for taking away our emotions in the first place. Then, restoring our emotions? It seemed outrageous!
But what if they had a reason? What if something happened before the memory wipe that came with the erase of everyone's emotions? The government had done so many things that weren't questionable without emotions.
Long story short, no one cared until they could feel again. It was the beginning of a new era, a new world. Maybe this was what the government was trying to stop.
dogramagra1984 will be making her own story for this and will be posting her story soon.
