"OMG TYLER STOP" I screamed at my twin brother. we are fraternal so we didn't look alike at all. (Thank God) "Ty! if you don't get off my bed and let me sleep, I swear to G---"
"woah woah. you don't mean anything you're about to say so relax!" he laughed at my anger.
"how am I supposed to relax when you won't stop crushing my ribs.? please Tyler. just get off." I looked at my phone to check the time. it was 2:30 am and I had my first day of school in a few hours.
"okay fine. just remember what I've done for you mack." my brother got off my bed, laughing. I rolled my eyes and said goodnight to Tyler as he exited my room, closing the door behind him.

"Mackenzie! it's the first day of your junior year! get moving. please get your siblings up too!" my mom yelled up the steps. I groaned and turned over in my bed, pulling the covers over my head and falling asleep again.
"hey Mack, I was wondering if-----uh Mack?" I yawned and sat up a little. I saw my younger brother, Jay ready for school and holding his phone in one hand and a broken phone case in the other. shit. I mumbled under my breath realising I had slept in way too much. I rushed Jay out of my room and ran to my closet.

I threw on my favorite pair or black skinny jeans and my nirvana t-shirt. I fell over my own feet trying to put on my black vans and ran to my vanity in the corner of my room. I brushed my medium length light brown hair and threw on a dark gray beanie before putting on a small amount of concealer, powder, eyeliner, mascara, and lip balm. I felt a pull on my hair. When I turned around, Tyler was standing behind me holding a cereal bar and my school bag with a smirk.
"thanks, you know me too well- it's scary." I laughed and grabbed my phone and earbuds. Tyler handed me my bag and breakfast before running downstairs with me. I threw all my stuff down onto the couch and ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth befor hugging my mom and getting into Tyler's car with all my siblings for school.

The best thing about car rides was listening to music. Music was a major part of my life. It helped me express my emotions in ways I couldn't put out in my own words. I started playing my own music when I was about 7 or 8, I was 16 now. Before we knew it, we were at school. great, no breakfast today I guess. I shoved the cereal bar that I had forgotten to eat into the bottom of my bag. I climbed out of the car and walked towards my high school.

School sucked. I don't know what else to say about it. my school sucked. it was full of preppy girls and self absorbed jocks. my siblings and my friends were the only normal people there. at least that's what I thought. all my siblings dispersed into their own groups when we walked into the halls. Tyler and I had the same friend group which is probably why we were so close.

"alright little sis. today is the day. the next year of our lives in this place." Tyler walked aside me to my locker, waving to his friends in the halls on the way.
"well only a few months actually." I smirked and looked up at my older brother. we both died laughing- we got some weird looks but we didn't care.
We arrived to my locker and I put in my combination. Tyler stood behind me and waited. I waited for someone I knew to come and claim the locker next to mine but one of Tyler's obnoxious friends said that the locker on my right was his.

"Why hello there Joseph crew."
"hey!" Tyler turned to his friend with a SnapBack and red/pink hair and they did some crazy handshake or something.
I scoffed and shut my locker. I began walking away but it didn't take very long for Tyler and his friend to follow. what was his friends name again.? Who cares either way, I wasn't interested in being friends with someone like him anyway, and I didn't get why my brother did. thank God the bell rang for homeroom, and we all parted ways. I wondered what would happen this year.

A/N HEYYYY so this was the first part! lemme know if it was too wordy/ long or not cause I feel like it was--- the story should get better as it goes on but I had to get it started. I also didn't introduce the whole Joseph fam or mackenzies friends yet but uh they'll come later.
also lets pretend like Tyler is like 16 in this and so is Josh..thanks that'd be great.
