They were in class again.

After the war, so many had died, had screamed, had bled, had fought, had been so bloody scarred-

that for, her, yes even for the know-it-all brightest witch of her time, it got tedious.

Even more tedious than the boy sitting on her right crunching on sugar quills as though the world might end if it didn't hear him devouring his lunch?

Slightly.

Ron was her best friend but sitting by him was never a good option.

And as for the Boy-who-Lived..

As Ron passed her the sugar quills, she examined Harry's countenance.

The shadows of the war had seemed to bear down on him a lot more in the light of their classrooms and only seemed to lighten at the sight of Ginny..

And Dumbledore.

Who was no longer dead in the oddest fashion.

Harry knew how the situation had occurred but every time she asked him to elaborate,

he'd simply change the subject.

"Aha, Mrs. Granger!"

Looking up, she startles as a pair of bright ghostly blue eyes gawk at her.

Advent Lovegood.

Luna's older brother..

And their new Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher.

He blended theories with practicum and his own odd mannerisms.

By far, everyone's favorite teacher.

Except at this moment,

for once.

he was serious.

No longer smiling he beckoned her to the front of the class.

Quickly selecting five others,

Draco Malfoy

Ron Weasely

Blaise Zabini

Harry Potter

and

Pansy Parvati

"This spell requires a group for the very first casting but after you find what you're looking for..."

He lifted his hands jokingly.

"Poof! It's like magic!"

The class snickers as he turns back to the group, the seriousness back in his eyes.

"The name of this spell is

p r o t e g o     f i d e l i u s

that is to protect a secret.

Though, these may be times of peace, if you could also protect the - your - future, would you

not?"
