Once upon a time there were two people that were desperately dumb, their names were James and Ella, James is a seventeen year old jock with Everest eyes charcoal black hair. While Ella is a computer nerd, and shut in with long dirty blonde hair and eyes brown like the mud beneath your feet.
I walk across the pavement, my sandals beating against it, while my eyes just now are adjusting to the sun. My mom made me go outside because I hadn't yet today. I mean who could after getting a new x-box. I continue my walk to the park and I spot James and Lucas playing something probably soccer knowing them. I ignore them and walk past continuing on my journey through the park. I reach home exhausted with my father coming home at the same time I arrive.
"Hey kiddo, what've you been up to?" he says and walks inside.
"Hi dad," I reply. "Nothing." I follow his lead inside and catch sight of my mom.
"Hey ma, what're you doing cleaning this early?"
"Well," her smile plasters across her face. "My new boss and his family are coming to eat tonight. So get cleaned up quick, they're going to be here in two or so hours." I roll my eyes at her and the constant giddiness every time she invites a new boss to eat, but it's different this time, she's going to be able to keep this job. Finally.
I jump into the shower and finish as fast as one two three. I walk back to my room and change into overalls and a black shirt. I twist around and search for my brush. I brush my hair and pull it back into a ponytail and run downstairs to see James and Lucas who are both covered in mud. My mom gives James the look and he runs upstairs yelling, "See you tomorrow Lucas!"
" sorry for the inconvenience" Lucas smiles and rushes out the door smiling before he leaves he says to me "call of duty later okay?"
"Sure" I say and reply his smile with my own.
James runs downstairs nicely dressed and says to me,
"They have twins like us too"
" boy and girl? " I ask
" yep"
" wait are they coming with moms boss?"
" no" he says sarcastically and walks away ending our conversation
When the guests arrive I can tell the boy is nice but was forced to come, and by the way the girl was dressed she was also obsessed with soccer, by the way my brother looked at her I could tell he was going to make a mistake liking her, and so was I because we are desperately dumb.
