A green wolf led three other wolf and dogs through the quiet forest, as they had done many times before then. However, this time was different. No one had authorized the running of these animals.
The wolf led his small pack to a creek they had never seen, despite running the forest somany times prior, and bound it in a single leap. A large grey-red wolf mix came up along side him.
"Hey wait!" The grey wolf snapped loud enough to make the green wolf to stop in his tracks, causing the German shepherd and Shiba Inu mix to collide into his rear end.
"What, Spark?" He snapped after the shepherds got off of him.
"Where are we going, Syn?" Spark asked, a lump in his throat.
"Away," Syn said, "far away so theywon't find us."
"Syn, my legs hurt from all this running. Can we take a break?" The unisex Shiba Inu mix asked.
"That's what happens when you miss leg day, Pax!" The silver shepherd joked, causing Pax to playfully attack him.
"Knock it off!" Syn snapped, stopping the play fight.
"Syn, they weren't hurting anyone." Spark argued.
"Go fuck yourself, Spark Plug," Syn growled at the larger wolf, before sprinting in the direction they were heading, leaving the pack behind him.
"What just happened?" The silver shepherd questioned.
"Nothing, Sean. He's a bit angry. That's all." Spark Plug answered calmly.
"But, he left us?" Pax sounded unsure of what they just witnessed.
"Because he's upset. He'll come back. Come on, let's go look for food. I bet you guys are starving." Spark suggested and the two agreed silently.
"And then we can find somewhere to rest for a bit, right?" Pax eagerly asked.
Spark gave a soft nod and smirk. "Yes, Pax. We will find somewhere to rest after we find food."
