Epilogue

Their feet thundered down the pavement, the rain beating down on them. The dark night hiding them from sight aiding there escape. Nothing but silence followed in their wake. They turned corners and sped away not once looking back

Chapter 1

"Mummy I don't want to go to school, I don't feel well"

Sky pulled the covers over her head and squeezed her eyes tight

"You have to up now Sky we don't have time."

Her mother yanked the covers off and onto the floor. She then grabbed her pale eight year old daughters hand and lifted her up and hugged her to her chest in a protective stance. Sky squealed in mock fright and attempted to wiggle away.

After dressing Sky, they headed down stairs to be met with Sky's father sat at the table, her mother dropped her hand so she could hug her father before breakfast. Sky quickly ate her breakfast anxious to meet up with her friends she then grabbed her mothers hand and ran to the door.

Once at school Sky waved goodbye and headed to class with a bright smile on her face, her black hair creating cute ringlets around her bright face. She took her seat and turned to her friend, Susie, she whispered while moving in closer to Susie's ear

"I've got something to show you at lunch." Her friend smiled and nodded vigorously her strawberry hair glistening

Chapter 2

The bell rang loudly signaling the start of break. The teacher dismissed the class. Sky ran tugging on her friends hand, she dragged her to a corner of the play ground, hidden away from everyone else, Sky stopped and spun on her heel a bright smile forming.

"Ready Susie?" Her simply friend nodded. Sky stood back and looked to be concentrating very hard on a task, next a grotesque popping sound could be heard then Sky disappeared and in her place was a small black pup with bright blue eyes and a wolfy grin on her face. Susie's face dropped and lost its colour. Sky sensing a negative change turned back a large grin still lighting up her face

"When are you gonna turn into a animal Susie?"

"Never that's not normal, I'm telling on you Sky that's a bad thing to do." Sky's smile faded and she looked sad and she about to start crying.

"I don't want to be in trouble Susie I was just having fun,"

"You did something bad, that's not fun." With that Susie turned and left towards their teacher Miss Hill.

Chapter 3

She was picked up from school and was currently being driven hope by an annoyed looking mother. Sky's teacher did not believe Susie and Sky so they were both sent home for being upset and not fit to focus. Sky frowned in the back seat, sad that Susie ruined her day,

how was she ever my best friend she tattled on her that's not what friends do.

Sky's face showed shock, and she momentarily froze scared at the new voice in her head, she glanced at her in the front seat checking to see if she noticed, scared she was doing something bad again. Her mother looked normal and she showed no indication of hearing

Who are you?

I'm violet I'm your wolf

Okay.

Violet giggled at Sky confused face. Sky quickly dismissed the strange new voice in her head and went to smile before remember she was in trouble.
