We were asked to go down to the police station the next morning so they can ask us about our side of the story.

"Ready" Ashton asked me

"Yup, I think" I said

We made our way down to the station and they led us into a room.

"So, let me hear exactly what happened" the police officer said motioning for us to speak.

"Ok, so we were at a party and it was boring so we decided to leave, we headed to my house and went down to the theatre room to watch a movie, but the movie was too scary so we went to my room and hung out a bit then we got tired so Ashton went to sleep on the mattress that was on the floor and I was on the bed. then I was awakened with this really loud banging on the door so I quickly woke up Ashton and we went downstairs and called the police, then the police arrived and yeah you know the rest" I breathed out with one breath

"Ma'am, are you alright? you were trembling while telling me the story" the police officer asked worried

"I'm just worried that he might try to attack us again." I told him

"No need to worry ma'am, we are handling that problem" he confirmed

We left the police station and headed to a diner to have breakfast.

"Ill have pancakes, what about you?" Ashton asked

"Earth to ammelia!" Ashton said snapping his fingers in front of me

"Sorry, I zoned out, what were you saying?" I asked

"I said I'm going to have pancakes, what about you?" he asked me

"Umm, ill also have pancakes I guess" I told the waitress who was standing there looking annoyed.

"So what was that all about?" Ashton began

"What?" I asked

"The zoning out, are you sure your ok?" he said

"I don't know I'm just a little scared he is going to attack us again, and one of us might get hurt this time." I told him honestly.

"Don't worry, I will protect you, even if my life depended on it." he told me while reaching across the table and grabbing my hand.

My stomach started doing these weird flips. why? I'm not exactly sure.

Our food arrived and we ate in complete silence.
