Dudes, I have just come up with a theory about the new FNaF that's coming out soon. After watching the FNaF: Sister Location trailer the past few days and then just listening to it, I was trying to figure out why Baby was repeating "Don't hold it against us" and, at the end, saying "You don't know what we've been through" and just then I came up with this theory:
Now, going off a few theories that I have seen, there was one (I can't remember who came up with it out of GameTheory and 8-BitGaming) that said that the animatronics were being tortured or experimented on and there are some that say if you reverse it, Baby says "You know what we did" and "Suicide didn't work". I kind of see where the latter comes from as I have watched the trailer backwards and kind of did hear it, but it doesn't really tie into my theory but at the same time it kind of does. It's the torture/experimentation theory that will mainly come up in my theory.
So, basically, I'll describe the tone of how Baby is talking first. It sounds like she's pleading for forgiveness while close to crying in guilt. Now, whether she's talking like this to either catch the security guard or whoever we're playing as off guard and gain your trust or whether she actually feels guilty, I am not really too sure but to me I think she actually means it and that she's actually feeling guilty. I'll get into why she feels guilty soon but continuing on with the tone, you can tell she's innocent but the torturer/the person behind this/experimenter has been unforgiving with whatever they've been doing on the animatronics, therefore twisting and stretching her innocence plus the innocence of the others.
Onto what Baby actually says, the guilt continues to show through her words. The reason why she feels guilty is because she and the other animatronics are being forced to hunt and kill whoever we're playing as or whoever the person behind this wants dead. The reason behind the torture/experimentation is probably the result of the animatronics trying to resist the order to hunt and kill. The torture/experiments are punishments for the animatronics as they try resisting but the person behind it is trying to program the animatronics through the torture and experiments to be more obedient to his/her orders. But, still kind of having a will of their own, Baby is asking whoever we're playing as for forgiveness for all the murders that they've already caused and those that they're supposed to commit whilst also saying that we have no idea what torture they have endured just for trying not to murder those they have being ordered to murder.
But I'm finding it a little strange that an animatronic is asking for forgiveness and is feeling guilty. But maybe this is another piece of evidence that any of the animatronics associated with anything to do with the Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria company are possessed by innocent children that have died in any of the locations associated with the Pizzeria. I have not read The Silver Eyes book so I'm not really sure on the lore in the book but it has been confirmed that it is canon the lore isn't the same with FNaF but there have been theories that it'll be more tied up with Sister Location. But the fact that these spirits are possessing these animatronics could be the explanation as to why Baby is showing the guilt and why she is pleading us for forgiveness. After all, these children are tortured souls who were brutally murdered. And this is also going to common lore about spirits.
Spirits that have unfinished business, mainly those that have been brutally murdered, wander mainly in the place of death and can tie themselves to the fate of said place or can tie themselves to a personal object, in this case quite possibly favourite animatronics, and can also posses people and certain types of objects, such as said animatronics. In order to get rid of them is to salt and burn their remains, down to the very last hair from time of death. But if salting and burning their remains doesn't work then the harder way has to be done, burning the personal object. The main reason being for this to be the harder way is that it's not always easy picking out the most personal object in the person's life that the spirit could tie itself to. The reason for the salt and burning process is that not all the time do the restless spirits get their revenge but when they do, they still do not find peace and continue to haunt the area until put to peace.
