I slam my locker door shut, glad to finally be done with school for the day.
Too bad I have to come back tomorrow.
I brushed that thought away, trying to keep a smile on my face. I started down the hallway toward the bus lot, looking around. Some people were giving me strange looks. Probably because I was smiling like a crazy person.
I finally made it to my bus and sat down in seat 14, my usual seat. I pulled my phone from my bookbag, even though it was against the bus rules. I didn't want to wait any longer to text my friend, although he was soon going to be more than that.
Hey Xavie, I texted. His name was Xavier, but I rarely called him that. We met on Instagram after all, and his username used 'Xavie' instead of his actual name.
Terry! Hi! You're done with school for today?, he texted back after a few minutes. He was in a different timezone, he was already done for the day. He lived somewhere in Alabama, and I lived in Massachusetts. We'd never met face to face, but we'd been friends for a while.
Yep. I'm on the bus.

And I'm laying in my bed XD

Lucky you.
-Terry099
How was school?
-Xavie..01
Not half bad
-Terry099
Was the math teacher mean again?
-Xavie..01
Eh, a bit. She wasn't as bad as she was on Tuesday
-Terry099
Did she give you any homework you need help with? ;)
-Xavie..01
I can do my own homework, thank you very much XD
-Terry099
If you insist.
-Xavie..01
I swear, you have someone do your homework once, they will never let you live it down. At least Xavie didn't, anyway. Xavie was in AP classes, and even though he was younger than me, he understood all the work I was doing. I didn't even understand it most of the time.
I looked up from my phone for a moment, realizing the bus was at my stop.
I have to get off the bus now. Talk to you in a few
-Terry099
Got it. Bye~
-Xavie..01
I stood up from my seat and jogged up to the front of the bus, thanking the driver before climbing off.
As I walked down the gravel road toward my house, I thought about what I was going to say. Never had I been so nervous thinking about Xavie before. That's what love is, my mother said. Though she never thought I'd be in love with another man. In fact, I was sure she was against the idea of it.
But I knew Xavie wasn't. I knew Xavie was gay, he knew I was bisexual, and yet he still hadn't figured out how much I liked him. But I was determined to let him know that day.
