I lost you. I officially lost you. After the constant worrying the past couple months I never thought I would say those words. All those years of friendship just thrown away for a boy you just met. A boy I introduced you to. It may have been by accident but it happened. And it happened just like in my past friendships. Only this time, for love. Months ago I was close to this boy too. He was a person I trusted. Just as much as I trusted you. But something changed in him. And he worked on changing you. I wasn't agreeing with what he wanted you to think so he made our friendship start to crumble. The friendship we've been building for years took him just a few short months to tear down. How is that? Why is that? It was shortly after you told me you would never leave too. But I guess that's how quick a toxic man can come in and ruin everything we had. You think his jealousy is just him protecting you and your relationship but where does it end if he flips out on people so easy? You always protected me, but never with him. Why is that? Because whether you admit it or not you made him more important. You said he needed you and acted as if I didn't. But in reality, I needed you more than ever. I didn't want to think about losing you. But I did. And I didn't just lose you that day either, but I lost my family. When I met you I didn't just gain a new friend, but I gained a family. You and I both know I was never really close with my parents, and especially my sister. But you gave me 3 wonderful siblings and a mom and dad who loved me unconditionally. The memories with you and them will forever be in my heart. And hey, I'll always have dads popcorn to make whenever I'm missing a taste of home. But I guess all that didn't mean as much to you as it meant to me. I guess he was worth throwing all that away. All for a stupid boy. But I guess it's an end to our friendship. Since you won't answer my texts anymore. And because of that, I just want to wish you the best in your new relationship. It's obviously important to you.
Love,
Your(not so) best friend.
