Chapter 1

"Bye Caleb, bye annie! Katie and her mom will be here soon to pick you up." Said mom, as she kissed our heads and gave us a tight hug. Mom, dad, and Hayley, were going to LA for the whole summer, Hayley has lots of gymnastics tournaments and fashion shows throughout the summer there, so they decided to just stay their instead of flying back and forth. Caleb and I didn't want to go, since we didn't need to, so were staying with Katie, my best friend, and her two brothers Brennan and Ryan.
**Annie's pov**
I was so excited to stay at Katie's house this whole summer! Her and I are inseparable! Also Brennan and I are super close, so I'm happy to see him and Ryan too! Caleb seems very excited as well, hopefully we'll all have a great summer.

Ding dong! "That's them!" yelled Caleb as he grabbed his heavy bags. Annie got her back pack, suit case, and gym bag. They both ran out the door in excitement, as they saw the beige car drive up to their house. Katie got out of the car and hugged them both. "I'm so excited!" said Katie. "Me too!" Annie replied. Caleb and Annie got in the back of the car, only to see Brennan. "Hey bro!" Caleb said. "Hey! So happy you guys are staying over." he said as I sat beside him in the car. Caleb and him were talking non stop! We finally got to Katie's house and she yanked me out of the car. "Cmon lets go inside" she said to me and Caleb. Caleb and her went in together, I started walking but dropped my gym bag. I looked down and reached to grab it but someone else did, it was Brennan. "Here you go Annie." he said in soft voice. "Thanks.. Hey um I forgot to give you a hug!" I said. They both leaned in and gave a big long hug. It was sort of awkward at first, since Brennan and Annie hadn't talked in awhile and they had a fight a year or two ago. "Glad we're friends again" Brennan said to me and led me to the front door.

*annies pov*
I was so happy that me and Brennan are good again. I didn't want to be mad at each other since that could make things awkward for this whole summer. It felt great to hug him, I missed him a lot. Before we were like brother and sister, but I feel things have changed.. A lot.

Caleb, Annie, Brennan, and Katie were all playing video games in the basement. Caleb and Katie were talking together lots and sat beside eachother the whole time, but Annie and Brennan didn't say a word to eachother. Annie and Brennan started talking to Caleb and Katie, they played truth or dare, would you rather, and just talked about random things. "Hey you guys want to go get some food?" Caleb said. "Yeah! What about pizza?" Brennan said. "Yeah!! Okay Brennan and I will go get the pizza, do you guys wanna come?" Caleb said. "I think Annie and I will just chill out here" Katie said and smiled. "Okay bye guys!" Brennan and Caleb said as they left the room.
