-Her soul was too deep to explore by those who swam in the shallow ends-

Sometimes when in the middle of something uncertain and unpredictable we lose ourselves. We become insecure, unstable, and like the situation, unpredictable. I've never been really sure wether or not to believe in people or their words.
I keep secrets just like everybody else but for some reason mine always seemed more important. I'm sure in this universe everyone thinks that, some on deeper levels, but in some scenarios it's true, the government has their secrets that are way more important than anything my brain could possibly hide.
It's just how life works, everyone puts their needs before others and people don't protect other people. I built my walls to keep my self protected and hidden, my words stay inside so I never say anything controversial that could make people upset or angry with me, I don't want the attention. If no one else is willing to help me, I have to help myself. My own knight in shining armor.
I mean, you never really know when you can trust a person. I used to trust every one I came in contact with because I was never given a reason not to. That was until my Sophomore year in high school.
I'm only a junior now so it's only been about four months, but no matter what I tell my self one summer can't fix what was broken, can't get back what was stolen, one summer, nor one million summers could erase the words spoken and the new found loss of trust.

"NO, NO, NO, NO" his hands gripped my waist as I thrashed around. "I know you want this baby, you just don't know it yet." He smiled, truly convinced what he was doing was okay. "I don't, I don't, don't want this!" I pleaded in a desperate attempt to persuade his thoughts and actions. "Just wait and see how good I will feel inside you baby, just wait and see." I kept kicking and thrashing but my words felt useless against his stubborn mind that was harboring devilish thoughts.
He did the unthinkable, tears gushed down my face, as I screamed for him to stop, but he didn't and he never will.
"PLEASE!" I gasped for air and shoved my hair out of my eyes. I sighed as I thought of the horrific events of sophomore year, just days before summer. Going back to school is inevitable but extremely painful. He will be their watching my every move threatening me with his dark eyes. He knows I won't tell any one, I'm too scared to, it's like he's taunting me, his eyes darker than the depths of the ocean.
He threatened me, told me if I told anyone the next affair would be... longer and more painful, if even possible, than the first time. No one would ever know, if I had a choice I would go straight to the police, but why would I ever take the chance for him to do more damage then there has already been done. I was alone with this secret, besides would the police believe a now seventeen year old girl over the Hadley star quarterback?
School starts today and with the large weight on my shoulders I trudge to the shower, hoping it will somewhat decrease the darkness of the purple clinging to my under eyes from the nights terror.
I feel paralyzed, not physically, but my mind is numb. My back is sore from the tense stance it held throughout the night.
My thoughts are interrupted by my older brother Jason. "Hollister, if I'm late because you're too lazy to get up on time, you will be dying in the near future."
"Okay Jay Jay, I'll be down in a moment." I referred to his favorite nickname.
I was soon dressed and ready for my first day of school, I looked cute but not cute enough to draw attention to myself. I walk downstairs and tap Jason on the shoulder.
"Ready?"
"Yep." He steals the granola bar I had grabbed just seconds before.
" Hey, loser! Give me back my breakfast!" I yell at him. He shoves the whole thing in his mouth. With his cheeks still full he smiles at me. We get in the car and I hum along to Amber Run's 'I Found'. The beats in the song match up with the cracks in the road.
My stomach drops as we reach Hadley High School, I don't think I can do this. I have homeroom with him, he won't forget about what occurred that night, how could he? His whole reputation was riding on a broken girl. I shake my head and fiddle with the loose strings of my ripped jeans. A quick once over in the mirror and I slowly step out of the car.
"See you later holl, don't forget to walk home after school today!" Jason said while he walked away from me. I shake my head and start towards the school building. My stomach is churning with nerves and I'm too nervous to breath. I reluctantly walk into school, passing by the empty library.
"Holls? OMG, I missed you over the summer, where have you been?" I turned around and smiled at the brunette in front of me.
"Jane! I was just busy, my grandma was sick." I hated lying to her but what was I supposed to say, 'I was lying in my bed 20 hours a day and only sleeping 3 hours a night due to nightmares.' ?
"Grandma Phoebes? Oh no! Is she okay? Why didn't you call me?" She's stressing, and it's all my fault.
"She's fine now, I was just really worried and wanted to spend all my time with her, Incase... you know?" I was sort of throwing Grandma Phoebes under the bus to protect myself but I could figure that out later.
"Goody, any who, I just found out that we're getting a new kid! And it's a boy! Isn't that exciting?" Jane was a little boy crazy but she deserved every man in the world.
"Yeah, I guess."
"Come on, be a little enthusiastic, you sound like you're dead inside."
"Whatever, it's just a new kid, if he is even slightly attractive Summer will already be throwing herself at him. She's probably already called dibs and he's not even here yet." Summer was your average school hooker, she slept with everyone and was a basic jerk, and if you get in her way when she is either angry, psycho, or horny, she would crush you like a bug.
"Can we just go to homeroom?" My stomach drops and I feel my throat going dry.
"Yeah. Sure."
We make our way there and Tyler is leaning against Ms. Jonja's desk. He turns his head when we enter and smirks at me, winking. I visibly flinch and my breathing falters.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom." I tell Jane, I can't cry in front of him but if I hold it in I'm going to explode.
"Okay, need me to come with?"
"No, I'm okay. Thanks though." I get out of there as quickly as possible and feel him watching me as I go. I get halfway down the hall when I hear his footsteps, I run and get in the girls washroom before he has a chance to touch me.
Only problem is that he is going to wait there for me. My eyes tear up, what was I thinking? I can't do this. I can't sit here and watch him, he knows he affects me and I can't escape him.
I sit in the bathroom for about five minutes and clear my head as best as I can, and hope to god he's not out there.
The door swings open and I walk out.
"Holly, did you miss me? You know I hate to see you leave so soon but god damnit, I love to see you walk away." His hand finds my Bicep and he pulls me with him. I widen my eyes in fear and pull away, "No. I'm not going with you." I run back to homeroom but not before catching a glimpse of the most beautiful ocean blue eyes.
