my name is king and I grew up on the west side of charlotte in this place called Beatties Ford road. where I grew up it was to easy for me and anyone else to get into trouble whether it was selling drugs or running up in peoples houses and hitting licks on anybody caught slipping. I'm 18 years old and I go to west charlotte high school where a fight could break out at any moment for any reason. rarely ever was a fight fair there are either weapons involved or someone was getting jumped.
the first time I broke into anyone else's property I was in the ninth grade and I went through someone's car. the owner of the car came walking up the street and saw me in his car so I ran thinking he didn't see me. we met each other in the middle of the street and he wanted to know what I was doing going through his car. I said everything I could to avoid getting into a fight because I didn't trust the guy I was with so we both ran opposite directions. Anyway police were called and I was let off with a warning mainly because I had gotten drunk in school the previous year so the entire police department knew about me.
now I am a senior and I'm crushing heavy on my best friend Victoria who already has a boyfriend named josten. he had already graduated and was attending a community college. he asked Victoria out the same year I did and she said yes which made me just a little jealous and a tad bit upset even though I asked her out first she said she didn't see herself being in a relationship with me. her and josten got together close to the end of our junior year and I advised her against it but she didn't wanna listen to me.so I'm left here on the outside looking in on what could have been us
