"Does he love me? Does he love me not? Does he love me? Does he love me not?"

There I go again, sitting on the steps at the back of the school waiting for this boy to notice me. His name was Miko Scott. He was very tall, 6'1 to be exact, he was light skin and he was not very built but he had abs and he was quite skinny. He had the most beautiful smile I have ever seen and his laugh, oh his laugh. His laugh made me laugh even when there was no joke around and when he laugh it made me forget the type of boy he was. You know the kind of guys our mother would tell us never to love? Well yes he was one of those guys.

I sat down on those stairs every afternoon waiting for him to even say a hi to me. He always looked at me like he wanted to say something but I guess I intimidated him and he would rather not approach me around his friends because he was afraid of rejection. At least that is what I always told myself and my best friend George because he always told me that I was just not Miko's type, which I already knew.

For some reason, however, today was different. He was walking quite slow and I took up the courage to say a quick hi to him as he was passing by himself. He stopped walking for a split second and stood up directly in front of me with his two hands on his bag straps and his legs slightly crossed and leaning on the railing of the steps. He seemed to be amazed for some reason and some what confused. Then he took a deep and returned the 'hi'

Woooooaaahhhh he actually said something to me. This was the best day of my life!!! I didn't even care that I was the one who had to start the conversation, I was just happy he replied. And that wasn't even the best part, he came and actually took a seat next to me and smiled. I asked him what the smile was for and he told me that he didn't know I spoke. That was understandable for I was the most quiet girl in class. I held my corner and had nothing to say to anyone. This was so because everyone in my class were people who loved to gossip and didn't speak to me for some unknown reason but it didn't bother me because I had my best friend George by my side.

Miko and I actually had a long conversation for the very first time and I was so tempted to tell him I had a huge crush on him, obsession if you may call it that but I was scared he may think I was coming on too strong but there was a small moment when we both had nothing to say to each other and we had that small awkward staring for a second and it was almost impossible to turn away from him and I could tell he felt the same way because we both had nothing to say to each other at that point and in that brief moment his bus came and 'good-byes' were exchanged.
