Falling For You... Literally

Chapter One - Flirting Failure

"I'm glad I actually went outside with you today." I told Maya. "If you didn't force me to come out here, I probably would've been a slob binge watching something."

"I swear, if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have a social life." Maya said.

"I already don't have a social life even with you."

"Shut u- Holy mother of Jesus."

We stopped walking and stared at this boy, looking our age. But, he didn't look like any typical guy in our grade. He had short dark brown hair in a quiff. He had beautiful blue eyes that slightly faded into brown as it went closer to the center with some green tint. He was attractive, and even though he was wearing regular clothes, you could see he was fit. He seemed like some heavenly creature as he smiled while talking to his friends.

"You do see him too, right?"

"Of course I see him too, don't be stupid."

"He's like... wow."

"Lily, look around."

I looked around as Maya said and saw all the girls in this mall, staring at him and his friends. His friends were also attractive as well, but I think we all took a notice to this guy.

"That's a lot of people, Maya."

"Hey, go up to him."

"WHAT?!"

"I want you to finally flirt with a guy."

"MAYA, I'VE NEVER HAD A BOYFRIEND LET ALONE TALKED TO A GUY. I CAN'T DO THIS."

"YES, YOU CAN."

"How?"

"Try tripping in front of him."

"What?"

"You know, the classic trip and fall. He notices you, helps you, and BOOM. Love at first sight."

"I don't fall very gracefully, and knowing me, I'll probably face plant."

Maya looked at me with fire and evil in her eyes as she told me, "LILY, IF YOU DON'T DO THIS-"

"GOT IT." I said as I scurried toward the guy.

How am I supposed to even do this? Maybe I'll bend my left ankle and fall. That'll work. In the midst of me speed walking to the guys, my bracelet flew off my wrist, so I outreached my left arm. But because I'm stupid, I thought it'd be the perfect time to trip. 

CRACK.

Oh no. OOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

The guy I liked turned around and saw me. I turned around my body, and I saw his eyes widen once he saw my arm. Maya ran over to me with fear in her eyes. I

"GUYS, LET'S GO." The cute boy I liked commanded.

They all ran with me to their car, and I was crying from the pain with my arm moving.

We were sitting in an awkward silence in the car. 

"So, what's your name cutie?" One of his friends, the one driving, asked.

"Me?" I asked.

"VINCENT, I don't think now is the time for you to be flirting." The cute guy looked at me and told me, "I'm Levi, by the way." 

"Hi Levi, I'm Lily. This is my friend Maya." I told them.

Later that day...

"The x-rays came in, and you'll definitely need a cast."

Just my luck, I break my arm in the middle of Summer when I try to flirt with a guy.
