Kalani is a 15 year old girl who dances at the Abby Lee Dance Company LA. She competes with the Jr Elite Competition Team. She is the oldest on the team, and she is expected to be the leader. Since Maddie is viewed as the leader on the team, Kalani seems immature. She seems like she isn't trying enough. She is the daughter of Kira. Kira doesn't realize that Kalani can't do this on her own and that Kalani is still a kid. Kalani had two brothers, Jax and Jett. She was originally trained at Club Dance by Alexa Moffet. Kalani feels as though she is slowly fading away in Maddie's shadow and in Abby's eyes. She feels that Abby thinks she's useless. Kalani is still a kid.
