{CALLISTA}
Sebastian and Iris: Sebiris. Every human being in their right mind ships Sebiris. See, Iris says that Sebiris seems too much like a type of disease, but I think the only illness that's going on between Seb and Iris is an extreme loooove bug.
Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Callista, but mostly everyone (except for my parents when they're mad at me) calls me Calli. I am one of Iris' closest friends, along with two other dorks called Bethany and Gwen. We're making these entries because of our super swag writing (wow the vocabulary is on point) and because we ship Sebiris beyond compare. Maybe Sebastian and Iris will be married and reading this in the future, so we have to make sure to make these entries really descriptive, sweet, and make them say "wow, I remember that! we should do it again some time!"
So what better way to start off 'Skinny Love' than by giving you the scoop on what happened during our town's annual Fourth of July firework show!
I was with Gwen, Iris, and Bethany, sitting on our blanket in the middle of our town's football field, when we heard the first firework go off. The blanket held all four of us, plus Lucas, Sam, Dante, Carlos, and... Sebastian was no where to be found. I was kind of relieved, since we were all squished against one another (although I'm not complaining about being quite close to Lucas!), but Iris was feeling pretty melancholy.
"He said he'd be here. I really wanted to watch the fireworks with him...," Iris whispered to me discreetly. She was sitting criss-cross-applesauce right behind me and Lucas, and she was saving a spot (a very, very small spot considering the circumstances, but it's the thought that counts) for Sebastian. I could hear the disappointment in her voice. Bethany tried to cheer her up, but her voice was inaudible due to the explosion of several fireworks up in the sky.
About ten fireworks in, I glanced behind me and gave Iris an apologetic look. She seemed pretty devastated that Sebastian lowkey blew her off, and the pretty fireworks didn't do much to change her mind about what a nice night it could be. Looking back at the show, several gorgeous fireworks were exploding. They were those cool whistle ones!!!! (sorry those or like my favs lol)
All of a sudden, I felt Iris' knee literally jam into my back. I swiftly turned around to see what happened only to find that Sebastian had come up from behind Iris to surprise her! Luckily, she didn't scream, she just, well, flinched causing her knee to hit me (pretty hard might I add). She quickly muttered an apology and pulled him down to the seat next to her, and proceeded to playfully punch him.
"You scared me!"
"And injured me..." I said, under my breath. I probably would've said it louder, but I didn't want to ruin the moment.
Sebastian laughed and said, "Hope I didn't miss too much?"
"No, only the first few fireworks." Iris obviously did not want to admit that he left her hanging for one quarter of the firework show.
He said something, but he was interuppted by a huge burst of blue and purple sparks in the sky. It was probably the single most breathtaking firework that was in the show so far. Iris said, "Wasn't that one beautiful?"
"Well, I don't think it was as incredible as you."
And I couldn't even hear what she said next because of the combination of my squealing and the fireworks in front of me.
I glanced behind me right after that, and saw Sebastian wrap his arms around Iris. Once again, the squealing was at an extreme level.
Throughout the entire show, they were intertwined, watching the fireworks in awe. Every now and then when there was an extremely loud and unexpected boom, she'd flinch a little... but that only made him hold her tighter.
Towards the end of the show, Iris was starting to feel sleepy. (What can I say? We pulled an all nighter together with Bethany and Gwen the night before.) She buried her head farther into Sebastian's chest, but he suggested that they lay down.
And so they did. Sebastian put his hands behind his head, propping it up so he could watch the finale. Iris put her head in a similar position, leaning against his chest. Her nose was pressed against the soft fabric of his shirt, which had the familiar scent of /him/. She grinned, closed her eyes, and let the cozy aroma and constant booms from the fireworks put her to sleep.
Her dreams only lasted for five minutes though, because the firework show was over and everyone was being yelled at to leave the field. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, and as they opened, she saw Sebastian's hand coming forward to help her up. She gladly took it and got up on her feet.
With a little bit of chatter and some hugs goodbye, we were all on our way back home. It was a fun night, and it was definitely successful for Sebiris shippers like us, seeing Sebastian and Iris cuddling & snuggling behind us during the fireworks! All of my fellow shippers better be ready for Gwen's entry next, because trust me, you're in for a treat...
