Switzerland, Here We Come!

The day had finally arrived, Karlie thought to herself as she glanced over at her very organised planner, and crossed off June the fourth. It was the day that she and her two best friends, Maya and Emily, would embark on a journey to Switzerland to go on a hiking extravaganza. She picked up her suitcases and quickly left her bedroom, kissing her cat Evie lightly on the head to say goodbye. She locked her dorm room door and gracefully walked down the corridor and towards the main exit of her university campus.
As she waited patiently at the fountain in front of Brown University, she admired the flowers and the trees and all of the birds humming this early in the morning because, after all, she was in her first year of university, so didn't see the morning sun very often.  Her admiration didn't last so long, as Maya honked the horn very loudly in her Jeep and shouted to her "Get in! We're going to miss our flight!". Karlie glanced down at her watch and saw the time, 7:53AM. Their flight departed at 8:15AM. As she ran to Maya's car, all she could see and hear was Emily laughing as she watched her trip over her suitcase again and again because she was in such a hurry. " Hey Em, hey Maya!", Karlie exclaimed excitedly. They both smiled back and said "hey" simultaneously. Maya then slammed her foot on the accelerator and they zoomed off to the airport, hoping that they would have a chance of making their flight.

As Maya, Em and Karlie approached gate number 43, they heard a calling for their flight. "Would passengers Karlie Smith, Emily Jenkins and Maya Snow please make their way to gate 43. This is the final boarding call." All three girls rushed to the desk, handed over their tickets and passports and swiftly entered the tunnel as if they didn't have a care in the world. They boarded the plane, sat in seats 32 A - C and awaited take off as they sat back, relaxed and thought of all the adventures that would have in Switzerland together.
