I spun around to get a look at this nigga that was pressing his body up against mine. He was handsome. Dark skin, like smooth milk chocolate. Different from what I'm attracted to. Chris and Rashad were both light skinned. I mean like light bright! But they are sexy as hell.
Anyway, he smiled at me still waiting for a response. I still had my smirk on while I nodded. He pulled me deeper into the crowd and we danced close.
"I had to pulled you away because that ol boy at the bar was looking pretty pissed... that's ya man?" he asked me.
"Nah, that ain't my man."
"Mmm, got these niggas acting up and he ain't ya man?"
"That's correct."
"Shit, I need to find out why he acting like that. You must be a good woman. I'd like to test you out."
"If you're worth my time, we'll meet again." Those were my last words before I parted with him.
My destination was straight to the bar right next to Chris. He didn't hesitate to pull me towards him.
"Did you have fun?" he asked me throwing back his Henny.
"Why you mad?" I asked pulling away from him.
"I'm not mad. I just thought I would have the first dance like I always do."
I frowned. It seemed very childish and selfish of him. He deserved to be teased....
"Can I get a shot of Tequila?" I shouted to the bartender. He quickly handed me a shot of tequila, salt, and a lime. I didn't ask Chris a thing, I just did as I pleased. I popped two fingers in my mouth then I rubbed those two fingers right over Chris' tattoo of my name on his chest since he wore a V-neck. See, My name was tatted right over his heart. See, Chris played many games but even though we were just best friends, I meant the world to him and everyone know that. He just been fucking up lately.
Anyway, I sprinkled the salt over that spot and then I put the lime in his mouth backwards.Without a moment to spare, I downed the shot but slowly licked up the salt. I placed my full lips around the outline of the tattoo and caressed his skin with my tongue. I felt Chris' heart beating wildly against his chest. He was getting excited. His skin was even turning hot.
After teasing him thoroughly there, I went for the lime. Since the lime was placed backwards I had to turn it around with my tongue. And let me say it did not go as planned because as soon as my tongue brushed up against his, it was a done deal. I didn't know whether to blame him or myself for it. He did initiate it but I didn't try to stop him either. I sucked the juice out of the lime while kiss but when it was done Chris used his tongue to maneuver it out of the corner of our mouths.
This was our first tongue kiss. I can't say exactly say I didn't want this to happen but just in a better situation, because of love and not lust or because we have a little liquor in our systems. And no, I'm not one of those women who want a fairytale romance. I just expected more from him because he's my best friend. He's the one that's always been trying to protect me from this exact same situation. He's that guy that he doesn't want me with.
When reality set in, I broke the kiss. I can't believe I just let that happen. We just sat there starring at each other. Chris was the first to break the silence.
"Kim..." he whispered, his eyes were glazed over with I don't know. His eyes held so many questions, secrets... confusion.
"I...I gotta go," I responded. It couldn't have been anything else he could've said but that he was sorry and that he didn't mean to do it. I turned real quick to leave. I heard him call my name but I didn't turn back.
