Chapter 1

She was putting on a white top with a checked skirt which was in colours of black and grey. She was gorgeous and beautiful that all the men in the room turned as they made their faces showing that each of them wanted to say a word. She approached me without me noticing that she was there only to hear a sweet, soft voice.

"Hello, good evening. Is this sit taken?" as she asked. As a fool I first sat there without saying a word and she smiled that I just said to her am Richard.

"Nice meeting you Richard, am valentine", she replied. So is this sit taken?

As she asked the second time very first I replied, "No please you can have it".

As she was carrying it, I asked why are you moving it? I thought you are going to join me here.

No please I would love to but I came in with my girls over there, so it's where am taking it to join them.

Please if I may say, you said you would love to. Not so?

Yes, I said that but I have to join them.

Ok, but with one condition.

What is that condition that you are putting in place for me to take this sit? May be I should just leave it.

No please it's not for the sit,

As you said you love to so could you please join me for one drink that if you don't enjoy my company you can go without me stopping you or prolonging the conversion.

So are you going to stop me if I refuse to have that one drink with you right now? Because am just going to walk away without having that drink. First of all that talk of I love too was just a nice way of saying no.

Please I will not stop you if you don't want to have it in the first place.

As we were still talking one of her friends walked toward us that I told her that your friends I think there are tired of waiting of you because one is coming this way.

That's so, she replied.

Before replying to her, her friend was here.

Hi, Valentine what is going on we are waiting for you but it's like you are having fan here that you are not joining us.

Valentine aren't you going to introduce me to your friend, I asked.

What? Who is this valentine?

He is Richard and this is Daria. Daria am coming I was just finalizing with him here then I join you.

Ok but don't take long please, Daria replied

Please I have to join my friends as you heard them. They are getting tired of waiting. It was nice meeting you Richard.

Me too, it was nice that we met, hope you get a minute to join me after you go over to your friends. I would love your company please.

She walked over to her friends as they were looking at me and smiling.

Please bartender add me one and give them what so even they are having.

After an hour, as I was facing the bar and enjoy my drink, I had someone standing behind me and tapped me. Please would you mind if I joined you?

On turning there she was infornt of me. "Please", as I replied.

What would you love to have Valentine?

Oh! Please bartender please get her a glass of red wine. So what happened over there that you decided to join me? I asked.

So would you want me to go back?

No please I just ... Never mind. What matters is that you are here now.

So if I may ask, what do you do?

Am a nurse at IMC hospital. And you?

Am an IT manager at Hesed. Could you tell me more about yourself?

As I told you am a nurse and those over there are my workmates. We are from work so we decided to come over here to have some good time since you know life is short. Am from Mbarara but that is enough for today. Now it's your turn.

As you know am Richard, I come from Jinja I have been here for six years and I came here alone.

As we talked for hours, her friends approached us and said, "Valentine, Richard good night . It was nice meeting you Richard, asked Daria.

From the bar, we ended up in club that we danced up to 4 am. So I had to drop off Valentine to her apartment.

So where do you stay, as I asked her. But because she was too tired and drunk, I had to take her to my place. At 6:30 am Daria called her but because she was sleeping like a baby, I didn't want to wake her up so I did receive her call.

Vale, where are you?

Sorry but Valentine is still sleeping but I can give her the message.

Tell her that I called.

As I was standing just there looking at her, I said in my heart that I have to make sure that she becomes mine girlfriend. Because she was that type of person I was waiting for. I went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

As I was finishing up with the breakfast and there she was, looking at me and she said, "Good Morning".

Where am I? And how did I end up here hope I didn't cause a lot of problems.

Those are a lot of question at once. But first of all, good morning too. You are at my apartment.

What? Did we?

No and please you had passed out that when I asked you where you stay, you didn't respond so I had to bring you over here.

Come and have breakfast.

As we were having breakfast, she opened up more thing about herself that made like her even more. After breakfast she asked, "Can I use your bathroom please?"

Oh! Yes please, over there and the towel is in the closet, Check above you will see a new tooth breath.

As she went in to clean up on herself, I finished up with the breakfast and organised up my sitting room.
