If looks could kill

Chapter 1 The Hard Truth

"Nautica, you may enter."

As I stepped into the pale white room my spine tingled. Why did the queen need me? I stopped at the slightly messy desk.

"You may sit down", she said with a bite.

I pulled out the chair and plopped down. Closing my eyes I thought of all the possible things I could have done that she needed. None. I could think of nothing.

"I know Ms. Sears, you are probably wondering why you are here. Well as our population grows we lose less and less space. It has gotten to the point where there is no room."

"Ok"

"We are sending you to Earth

to spread a disease to the humans. Our hopes are to eliminate the human race and take over their planet."

My mind wasn't comprehending. Why me. What did I ever do to deserve this?

"Ms. Sears, you may be wondering why you, why not someone professional. We thought that it would be better for you because you won't get anywhere here looking like...that."

"Uhm...ok?"

"Your departure is tomorrow, we will equip you with everything you need along with lessons on how to fit in. You may go I will see you bright and early tomorrow morning."

I walk out of the small conference room, walk down a long hall and exit trough large doors. I walked down the street to my trashed apartment building, the only one of its kind. I walk up the stairs open my door and plop down on the couch wishing this day would just come to an end.

Chapter 2 Falling

As I locked the door to my apartment, for the last time, a tear ran down my cheek. I had done so many things here. It was where I had grown into an adult. I walked down the stairs not caring if I was being too loud too early in the morning.

I walked the mile long distance to where I had talked to the queen last night. She was waiting for me with a look on her face saying "you're late." I hesitated then continued. She kindly greeted me.
