Riding across this torn apart project in a Chevy Tracker on a Wednesday night can usually lead to some minor traffic. Although the sky is a beautiful palette of colours, my lower vision is filled with a mixed array of dim and bright lights, shadows and the in between of snail speed vehicles. I can't imagine how nice it'd be to be in a chauffeured limo across this place. Now we're swirling on the twisted roads to lead to my home town. Cigar stores anywhere you go, pretty much every road. The reflective yellow lights on the guards are nothing more than a blur as they rush past us now that we're on the main road. One, two, three cars pass us. Surely there's more. The industrial buildings are usually rare in these different spaces, but I feel as though they'll soon be almost everywhere. We're stopped at a red roof to get some car power, yes? I hand the man two greens and a shiny gold coin. Enough to quench the thirst that our car has conceived? Sure. The tank is full now. I listen to the radio as we ride along, nothing said so far. Maybe a few words about the street lights that have burned out or the former traffic. It's definitely a normal night for me. We're pulling into the driveway and stop, keys turn and then I open the door. Casually, I look around for any potential creeper that may have snuck into our comfort zone and continue on, waiting for dad to unlock the door. It opens, and my sister squeals in delight to show us her latest masterpiece. How wonderful it is to have her as my sister and my dad's daughter. She's great, man.
