My Memory (PLEASE DON'T READ!MAJOR EDITING GOING ON!)

There’s no denying that her eyes captured mine. Her eyes full of innocence were very different from my crimson eyes that witnessed a lot of deaths and blood spilt. I turned grim.

 “Um……..I’m…….” She stammered still not averting her gaze from mine.

“I’m lost in your eyes.” She said abstractedly in a breathless whisper but enough for me to hear.

I don’t know why, but for some reason my heart slammed inside me so fast that it became harder for me to breathe.  She must’ve realized what she just said as her face turned red and she waved her hands in front of me rapidly.

“Tha…..That’s not what I meant! What I mean is……I….I’m lost here.” Her hands fumbled the hem of her dress as she looked away trying to hide her flushed face.

“Hn.” I then walked past her promptly. I need to get away from her for a moment. I need to find a place for me to breathe. As much as I hate how gay it sounds, I really couldn’t breathe. This feeling she’s giving me makes me feel annoyingly uncomfortable but much comfortable than the feeling I get from staying in that place called Heaven. Should that place really be called Heaven? It feels more like hell rather than Heaven for me.

“Wait!” She called out and blocked my path. “Aren’t you going to help me Mr……..?”

I stared at her blankly trying to cover my surprise. She really got the guts to stand in my way huh. “Why should I? I don’t even know you.” I wanted to cringe at my own words. It came out too cold as I wanted it to be, but she doesn’t seem to notice the coldness of my voice at all.

“Oh.” And to add up to my surprise and for the first time someone bowed at me to show respect. Not because that person needs me for guidance and protection in war but for normal purposes.

She stood up properly and shot me a bright smile which almost caught me off guard. That warm feeling filled me again. “Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I’m Mikan. Mikan Sakura.”
