Summer, what a terrible season. It's almost as if the gates of hell opened up to greet the poor residence of San Francisco. It's never been so hot in my small one bedroom, one bathroom, apartment. The only way to get any cool air is to borderline lay on my minuscule A/C. Yeah, what an image a tiny one-hundred and two-pound idiot struggling to stay cool. All the while Smash Mouth's 'All Star' filling the room with what is basically the entire Shrek soundtrack. I tried running my black fingernails through my bright pink ear length mop of a head of hair desperately trying to get cool air to my scalp. The heat wasn't all bad it was a good excuse to sleep in all day, unfortunately, I doubt that would be happening today due to a large amount of noise coming from outside." Ugh, more people moving into this small ass building!" I called out to literally no one in particular. I couldn't help my curiosity from spiking, though, so against my anger for the new neighbors, I staggered out of my front door into the seventeenth-floor stairway. This was the top floor all the way at the highest point of the square shaped stairs. I chose this one because of it's noted the lack of tenants around me. One room to the left and one to the right, empty, well not anymore. The left apartment the one directly next to me, the right one being down the hall a bit. I only knew this because I saw two brutish looking guys come out with gloves and boots headed back down in a rush, but not before the both gave me a mix between a disgusted and interested look. Maybe the disgusted look was because 'All Star' was still pouring from my open front door, as for the interested I'm not sure possibly because I was standing in nothing but a black tank top and matching black boy shorts, either way, I didn't care. I leaned on the railing looking down, half-asleep my elbows on the top bar, my chin on my hands. Then the girl who changed my life walked up those broken, dusty, and groaning stairs. She gave me a smile and disappeared into room 701
