I lay in my bed and listen to music in my darkened bedroom as i overthink the tough day i had at work. I roll over and look at my alarm clock. The time reads 2:36 AM. "I should get some sleep", i mutter to myself as i pull out my earphones and set my phone aside. I close my eyes for a few seconds before opening them again. And thats when i see it. Standing at the door of my room is a hideous creature staring me down, and snarling. The room is dark, but i can still see every detail of this demons body. It has a pale white, skinny figure, and it is standing on all fours, its hunched back littered with spines poking out of its leathery skin. And the "face", oh god. It's everything that a face should not be. There are black voids in the holes where its eyes should be, and the mouth was wide, going from ear to ear, with black gums, and small razor sharp yellow teeth spread out scarecly along its gums. Before i have a chance to react, the creature pounces, across the room and right on top of me. Holding down my feet with its hind legs, and my arms with its front legs. It leans in close, enough for me to nearly pass out from the horrendous stench given off by its icy breath, and it lets out a high pitched, toe curdling screech. It leans back and raises its right arm, revealing large, razor sharp claws the size of butchers knives. As it gets ready to dig its claws into my chest, i turn to the side and scream. I am hoping for a miracle, anything, to happen and rid me of this demon so that i may live another day. The last thing i see before i shut my eyes and accept my fate is the green glow of my alarm clock, reading "2:37 AM". Thats when i wake up, drenched in a pool of sweat. It was all a dream. A nightmare. The creature is no where to be found. I let out a sigh of relief, when I see something out of the corner of my eye. A peculiar shadow in the hallway. I look at my bedside alarm clock. It reads "2:36 AM".
