Chelsea, the girl who works as a crew member in Parker's Inn, went to the nearest beach right after her shift. As she walked in the seashore, she kept on telling herself that everything will be okay and it will be back to normal. She stopped from walking and decided to sit on the sand that was 3ft. away from the sea. She was reminiscing of all the past events that had happened to her whether it is good or bad, happy or sad until she saw a familiar face heading towards her. When the guy approached her, she realized that it was her childhood best friend, Chris, who migrated to the other country when they were 6 years old. She got up and hugged her best friend because she missed him so much. It's almost been 15 years since the last time she saw him.
It was almost midnight but the two were still talking. Chelsea kept asking Chris all the random stuff that she could think of. And Chris, being the nice and kind best friend, always answers her questions even if it is an out of the box question. You can see it in their face that they really missed each other. They were childhood best friends just like their mom and dad. Chelsea's dad is the best friend of Chris' mom. They grew up together but things happened so Chris' family decided to migrate. Chris was not in favor of that because he doesn't want to leave his hometown and he doesn't want to be away from Chelsea. When Chris left, Chelsea doesn't have any idea that her best friend will be leaving their place. She cried a lot when she knew that his family was already gone. She seldom eats and goes out of her room. She was very emotional that time even her dad doesn't know what to do with her. Her parents tried to talk and explain to her but she, being the stubborn child, didn't listen. After a year when Chris's family migrated, they lost contact. She kept on writing to him but Chris didn't responded. She got tired of it and decided to just continue with her life and move on.
It was summer after high school when she first met Dylan. They met at Parker's Inn where Chelsea work. They got along pretty well. They shared stories about themselves and talked about everything under the sun. Dylan decided to ask Chelsea out. They were the happiest couple you could think of. Their relationship was perfect not until one summer night when Dylan decided to call it off. She was crying the whole time in the beach where they would usually go. It was very hot that night but Chelsea felt very cold. She stayed there for almost an hour and all she did was cry and reminisce all their happy moments together. She went home after she made sure that she doesn't look like a mess because she doesn't want her parents asking her what happened.
Every night after her shift, she will go to their favorite beach which was the place where Dylan broke up with her. Even though it was the place she wants to erase in her memory, she can't do that because it has a lot of happy memories not just with him but also with her best friend, Chris. Right now, she badly needs a best friend who can be with her no matter what the situation she's into. She misses Chris very much.
Chelsea is very happy seeing her best friend, Chris that one summer night. She feels that everything is back to normal. After they talked about their past and all the random stuff, they decided to go home. Chris drove her home. While in the car, Chris suddenly told her that he's getting married. It has an awkward silence inside the car after he told her that.
She went straight to her room and cried until she fell asleep. She felt that all her hopes were falling into pieces. The next morning, she tried to get up but she doesn't have energy. She started crying again when she remembered what happened last night. She thought that seeing her best friend will be a lot of help for her to cope up with her broken heart but unfortunately it just added up. She didn't go to work and she just stayed in her room. She's very hurt and nothing can ease her pain.
Summer used to be her favorite season but now she didn't want to spend it anymore. If only she could erase all the memories, she will be very much happy to do it. She just hopes that this cold summer night will be over soon.
