Confusion

Jewels POV

"Hello Miss Winters!" A villager exclaimed. "Good morning!" I said. Then the villager continued on her daily walk.

I know all the villagers here. It is my island of course. Being princess on an island like this is a big responsibility but there are some up sides about it. Like, me and my mother are the first people after the parents to see the new born baby's in the village.

I kept walking and thinking to myself what it would be like to be queen. "Someday..." I whispered to myself as I walked along the beach.

"What do you mean someday, Miss Winters?" Someone asked behind me. I jumped and turned around. "I'm sorry, Did I startle you?" They asked. "No, no its fine, really." I said. He nodded. "So..." He asked. I looked at him confused. "You were saying someday. What was that about?" He asked. "Oh yes... Just thinking... That's all..." I said.

"Are you sure?" He asked. "Yes Finn, I'm fine." I smiled gently.

Finn was known as... how do I put this... sneaky. He is 8 years old and has already caused so much trouble for his age. Yet we got along pretty well.

"Ok!" He ran back to his small hideout near the bushes. I giggled. I started walking back to my house, a smile still on my face.

I walked in the door and my mother was making breakfast. "Hello mother!" I exclaimed. "Hi dear!" My Mother answered. I walked to my bedroom and sat down on my bed.

"What to do. What to do." I sat on my bed wondering what to do today. "Another walk? Greet everyone? Hmmmm... Oh I'll look for shells for a new crown!" I exclaimed.

I walked out into the kitchen. "I'm going to look for seashells!" I said as I walked out the door. I looked back and my mother nodded.

I walked down to the beach and started looking through the sand. I looked up at the water. "It's so pretty... Wait! What's that?!" I squinted to see what was out on the ocean. "Oh no..." I said. I ran to the guard tower and went up the stairs.

"Elliot!" I yelled. "Princess! Are you hurt?!" He asked. I shook my head. "I saw a boat down at Star bay!"
