Chapter 1

Lola's pov~

I was in my room on my computer finishing up an essay for English class when I heard a knock on my door and I looked up from my laptop. "Lola its mom can i come in?" I heard my mother on the other side of the door. "yeah come on in" I said as i finish up my last sentence and I click save and hit print. My mother walks in and she shuts the door behind her as I walk over to my printer and got the papers and stapled it. "what is it?" i asked as I put my papers and books away in my back pack. "Lola i'm sorry to have this late notice but you know how i have I got my new job right?" she says unsure if I understood. "Yes why?" I asked as I turn and look at her. "Well good news is I took the job bad news is we have to move to California." She says and my eyes widen. "What but mom it's in the middle of the school year we can't leave now." I said panicking. "Don't worry you'll just start the rest of your junior year over there the papers and documents you have been working on are already transferred." she says and I sighed. "Alright, does Caleb know though?" I asked and she shook her head. "Do you want me to tell him?" I asked and she shook her head again. "No not now" she says. "Alright." I said. "I'll tell him when he gets home." she says and I nod and she walked out of my room and she shut my door.

I sighed and groaned as I plopped on my back onto my bed. I grabbed my phone and texted my friend Lisa. 'hey guess what bad news hit me in the face this time' I texted her. I saw her typing and her message came up. 'What?' she asked 'good news mom got a job bad news is we have to move to California.' I said and she sent a sad face emoji and I sighed and I then put my phone on charge.  I walked over to my dresser and changed into my pj's which were a long sleeve silk white button down shirt, I then put on a pair of fabric shorts that were so comfortable, and I then put on some black see through thigh high socks. After I got ready for bed I layed down under my covers.

I woke up with the sound of my alarm clock and already a few days later my bags and clothes are in boxes and I got up and got my purse and phone, laptop, and all my chargers and put them in my dark purple Nike's duffel bag and I put on my black and white shoes, and I was wearing black leggings, and a black and white stripped checkered button down top. Under the button down checkered long sleeve top I was wearing a black skinny laced tank. As I walked down stairs I walked over to the car with Caleb and he looked sad and depressed just as I was. "Hey it'll be okay I promise." I said with a reassuring smile. He sighed and nodded. "I hope your right." he says. We then got into the car and we both sat in the back while mom and dad sat in the front.

I was finishing unpacking some boxes that had my socks and make-up and I put them on my dresser and I smirked and looked over at the guys playing basketball on the basketball court near the playground. "dude check it out." I heard one of the guys.  They look up at my window and look at me and I see a really cute guy with tan skin, and dark brown hair and I couldn't see his eyes though and I blushed a bit and turned away and I then walked out of my room and down the stairs. "Hey mom do you mind if I go to the park?" I asked my mom and she nods. "Yeah you mind if Caleb goes with you?" She asked me. "Not at all...Caleb get your ass down here!" I yelled and he ran down stairs. "What?" He asked. "We're going to the park come on let's go" I said and smirked and I grabbed my phone and I walked over to the basket ball court with my brother Caleb.

Andrew's POV~
I looked over as I saw a girl and a boy walk over to the court and I smirked and through the ball at the girl and she caught it. "So you guys play?" I asked them and they both looked at each other and then back at me. "Only a little" she says and she looks at the net and shoots the basket ball into the net. "Not bad for a beginner" I said and smirk and she walks over to me. "Yeah not bad" she smirks. "Okay so guys were picking teams this is Lola and Her brother Caleb their two team captains and Lola and Caleb this is Archer, Eric, Marcus, and Luke" I said and they all waved. "Well Lola so you and Caleb are Team captains" I said and they both nodded and we lined up. "Um...I'll have Andrew" Lola says. "Marcus" Caleb says. "Archer," she says. "Eric" Caleb says. "Luke" she says and she smirks.

Lola's POV~
Once the teams were named we started playing and so far my team was winning and I had my hair up in a pony tail. I looked over at Andrew and he nodded and smirked. "Hey you guys going to Beverly hill high school right?" He asked and Caleb and I nodded. "Yeah" I said. "Why?" I asked and once the game was over I walked back over and grabbed my phone checking my messages and five messages from my friend Lisa.
