Just the Beginning

I woke up one morning, and was told that my mate would be in danger and that I had to find her. Well, as you can guess I left home to find her. So, I was on the run from home to find her, my mate. I don't know her name or what she looks like but I'll know her when I see her. I have to be careful so the guards don't find me. Yeah, you guessed it, I'm the prince of vampires. My name is Demetrius Belikov. I am 18, I have red hair, and blue eyes. My mom is Queen Luna and my father is King Rolland. They're always very kind and supportive of me and my decisions. I didn't particularly want to leave my beautiful kingdom, but I have to, to save her. We don't know each other yet, but I have a feeling that we will grow very fond of each other....or at least I hope we will. I also hope that my mom and dad will be ok with this. Surely they'll understand my reason. My mate, who I'm destined to be with will be in some kind of trouble and I need to be there to protect her. I always wanted to find my mate, but what if she rejects me? What if she hates me? What if she's terrified of me and runs away resulting in me never see her again? I shake my head, trying to get rid of these thoughts,"What am I thinking, of course none of that will happen. I mean I'm a prince, no one says no to me." I went through many towns to get to this one, I hope this one is it. I walk through the town trying to find a place to live. I finally found one and I moved in. "School has a 2 week break so I guess I'll register to start in one week. Yeah thats what I'll do.", I nod making it official. I decided to go exploring the town I was in and heard a girl screaming for help and took off in my usual blur. I got there and threw the guy against the wall in the alley. "Go! Run now!" I yelled at the girl not paying any attention whatsoever to her now. My grip tightened around the guy's throat baring my fangs at them. "Now why dont you tell me why I shouldn't kill you right here right now?" The guy struggled in my grasp trying to get me off as they turned purple. My rage was blocking every sense I have telling me to stop before I get caught.

And im sorry for cutting it off like that but school is starting soon so I won't be able to do a lot of updates. Next chapter will be a time skip to the day they meet.
