Chapter 3

I had the strangest dream last night.

It was of all the rooms that I had never examined before but there was one. Just one. That room held something important and when I was just about to see what it was ...... I woke up.

Like in my dream, I was going to explore all the rooms in the house today. The dream might of meant something important.

Once I had finished my breakfast, which was porridge I excused myself from the table and got dressed into a simple t.shirt and jeans. Once I had finally finished combing several knots in my hair I went to start my investigation.

None of the hallways seemed like any of the ones in my dream until I came across the very last corridor. It looked exactly like the hallway in my dream except instead of having green paint on the walls it had white paint with flowers on it. Each room I examined were like all the rooms I had come across before.... Nothing.

But....... There was something different about the very last room that made me think. It was like all the other rooms dusty and dull but there was one thing different. Laid out neatly on in furthest corner away from me stood a pair of ragged old shoes. They looked like they had been abandoned many years ago and have never been touched since. A gush of harsh wind blew through the crack in the smudged window and I walked cautiously over to the untouched shoes.

Although I doubt these shoes meant something or were very interesting, I took them back to my room anyway where I was going to ask Sousie why there were shoes left in one of the rooms.

I wonder what she is going to say, I wonder how she is going to react, but most of all I wonder what she will think.
