"Lili are sure you don't want me to come?" asked Alois, with concern in his voice. "Positive. Not to be rude or anything, I need this holiday alone. This has been a terrible month," I replied. "Agreed. Well have a good holiday! And Lili, if you need anything, don't hesitate to phone me." "Thanks Al. See ya next month," I smiled.

I packed my bags in the boot of my 1967 Mini Cooper, grabbed my keys, and hopped in the car. Backing out of my driveway, I honked a goodbye to Alois as I passed him. As I embark on my journey from Berlin to Salzburg, I thought about this month's details. The small shooting on the 7th floor where my boss was shot and killed, my father had a heart attack and died, 12 civilians were kidnapped in my neighborhood, my best friend, Cora, had a child and named me as the god mother. This has been one of the craziest month's this year.

About 2 hours later I received a call. "Hello?" "Hallo. Ist dieses Lilium Grau?" (Hello. Is this Lilium Grey?) asked the caller. "Ja? Wie ich dir helfen? (Yes? How may I help you?)" "Sie haben eine voicemail von Alois Hannel. Drücken sie eine nachricht zu hören. " (You have a voicemail from Alois Hannel. Press one to hear message) I pressed one and let it play through the car. "Hey hun! Just checking up on ya. I was wondering, when you get back home, would you like to attend my New Year's party? You're probably driving right now and can't attend to this call, but when you get to your cabin, can you phone me? Thanks. See you soon."

-4 hours later-

When I arrived in Salzburg it was lightly snowing. "Ah welcome to Winter's paradise," I sighed. After I made my drive through the city, I began driving up the mountain. It was quite peaceful. About 10 minutes later I arrived at the cabin. It wasn't too big or too small. "Perfect," I whispered. I grabbed my bags out of the boot, searched for the keys, and forced my way through the door. 'It so cold in here. I need to find the heat' I thought.

After searching throughout the cabin and turning on all of the heaters, I made my way down to the basement. To be honest, it was kind of creepy. I found the water heater and turned that on. I went back upstairs, grabbed my bags, and took them to the next level.

I unpacked all my items and got in some fuzzy pajamas. Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. "I came here for relaxation. Not bothersome noise," I sighed. I went downstairs and opened the door. "Hello miss! Do you speak English?" The man had a thick Scottish accent. "Um yeah. Who are you?" I asked. "I'm Jason Sore! I stay about ten minutes away." "Cool. I'm Lilium Grey. Would you like to come in for some coffee?" "That'd be great!" he smiled.

I darted for the kitchen and he followed, sitting at the island. I began making the coffee when he spoke up. "So Lilium. Tell me about yourself." "Well," I began, "my full name's Lilium Ana Grey, I'm 26 years old, I live in Germany, and I work for a record company," I told him. "What about you Jason?" I handed him the hot coffee. He mumbled a thanks. "Uh my full name is Jason Jordan Sore, I'm 30, I live in Russia, and I work as," he paused and thought for a moment, "a doctor. Yeah a doctor," he explained. He finished up his coffee and handed me the mug.

"Question. Are you possibly the daughter of Roger Grey?" I looked at him, shocked. 'How does he know my father?' I thought. "Y-Yeah he is. How do you know him?" I questioned. "Oh I worked with him. Where is he now?" "He died. I didn't know he worked in Russia," I explained. "Dead huh. What a shame," he replied bluntly. "Well Lili," he paused, giving me a dirty look. "I'll see you later." He then left.

I walked to the living room, lit a fire in the fireplace, and curled up on the couch. I grabbed my phone and played my music. "Scheiß!" I cursed. I forgot to call Alois. Hopefully he's up at 11:00 p.m. I tapped his contact and let it ring. "Hey hun." "Hey Al. I have an answer to your question," I told him. "And that answer is....?" "I'll go. But if I go over 4 shots, you better stop me," I scolded. "Ha! Hun I can't make any exceptions. Well Lili, I have to go. My new boyfriend's here," he sighed. "You better get laid tonight Al." "I'll try. Talk to you later." "Bye!" I said ending the conversation. After an hour of reading, I eventually fell asleep.
