the sky was a whirlwind of grey shades, dark clouds lazily hanging in the tenebrous canvas before they sleepily glided onwards. on the muddy bank by the slate-coloured river sat a pale, catastrophic boy with tears flowing down his gaunt cheeks; almost providing fresh water for the restless river. his glassy eyes were laced with fright and anxiety was evident in his irregular breathing. the boy was held by a girl who's dainty, olive fingers were delicately running through his messy curls in attempt to soothe him. the phrase "what have i done?" continuously fell from his lips, regret secure in his voice while he cradled his tear-stained face with his bloody hands. all she could do was allow her cherry lips to place a soft kiss upon the crown of his head which was tangled with his dark curls, there was no way to justify his actions. "honey..." was spilt through the cracks of his violent sobs before the boy managed to regain himself. "please don't ever leave me" he spoke, his voice was heavy with pain. she knew that she never could, her infatuation for the boy with the sad brown eyes was far too strong.
he tenderly broke free from her gentle embrace, inhaling the irony scent of the dry blood that drenched his large hands. as he turned to face the blonde saint, his fingers brushed against her velvet cheeks; painting dark rose streaks upon them. her fawn eyes that were suffocated in tears fell into a gaze with his pair before she gave him the medicine which calmed the raging storms in his desolate thoughts, a small smile. the space between them seemed to lessen as his lips ghosted over hers before he softly muttered "i'm milk and you're honey".
