"And your total is.. $5.49" I said to the customer standing in front of me handing them their coffee. "That's a little pricy for a little cup of coffee don't you think" the customer snapped.
" Hey, it's worth it, plus you came in here knowing Starbucks isn't cheap." I retorted back.
" yeah right ! worth a whole two seconds you get to drink it" the man shouted " Sir I don't make the prices, trust me if I could make free Starbucks a thing, I would. Now if you could please step forward we have a line " I said back to him .
" pfft. What a rip off " the man said snatching his briefcase up from a nearby table and pushing the door open to exit the shop. The day went by pretty fast after that run in, I'm not exactly a huge fan of my job but it brings in the money. As I was locking the door for close I heard a ding come from my phone.
"Twitter: @twentyonepilots ; BLURRYFACE TOUR TICKETS ON SALE NOW! " I have to get them, Kyra loves twenty one pilots and her birthday is coming up soon so this will be a easy b-day gift. I grabbed my purse and left the store, pulling my blonde hair out of the tight ponytail it was in previously and started walking to my studio apartment. Columbus wasn't that busy which was usual at 12 at night. When I got inside Kyra was on the couch watching some old 90's movie.
" HEY FRIEND " she said as she seen me walk in.
" what up buddy!" I said plopping down in the couch next to her.
" how was work?" She asked.
" oh you know, the usual few grumpy customers here and there and the occasional 'oh I don't have enough money when I could've swore I did' " I said laughing a little,
" ahh, I see " she said slumping down a little. I pulled up the link that was attached to the twenty one pilots tweet and started searching for the best seats I could find. The pit doesn't seem that bad, Well the name does but the spot doesn't. I quickly tapped on the " finalize purchase" button, which was soon followed by conformation text from the website saying my purchase was successful and that I could print out the tickets anytime before the concert.
" yes!" I squealed.
" yes what?" Kyra questioned
" you'll see " I said smirking
" well now you gotta tell me " she pushed.
" YOU'LL SEE ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY PRESENT" I stated loudly than planned.
" okay dude whatever. " she yawned out " I think i'm gonna go to bed, it's been a long day " she waved as she went back to her room.
" goodnight " I smiled back. She's gonna be so stoked when she finds out, and I can't lie I'm happy she likes Tyler because Josh is my favorite and I don't necessarily share well. I turn off the t.v. And clean up Kyra's mess then head for bed myself.
